Comments about Smart Destinations Universal Studios Hollywood (Bonus with 3, 5 and 7 Day Cards):

We visited the park at the end of January. Though it is considered off season the weather was delightful and we were definitely not alone. However they do a great of handling and transporting visitors. We loved using our Go Card to bypass the entry lines. Using our card and photo ID we were quickly processed and entered the park like VIP's. The main attraction and rightly so is the Studio Tour. It is a 1-hour guided tram ride that includes the King-Kong 360 3-d experience. I am not usually a fan of sci-fi or scary experiences but this was lots of fun and definitely memorable. The posted times for attractions throughout the park is well done. The park is divided into 3 areas: the Entertainment Center where you see live performances and stroll and shop in recreated streets of the world, the Studio Center (featuring film related rides) and the Backlot Tour. It is also divided into an upper and lower lot. The lower lot is accessed by escalator. Definitely plan to dedicate the whole day and arrive early to enjoy the complex. The park closes in the winter months @ 5PM. At that point we visited the City Walk located just outside the gate which is free and stays open later. It was starting to get a little chilly so we topped off our day with a nice cup of hot tea and yes, a little pastry and some shopping.

Amazing shows!

Comments about Smart Destinations Universal Studios Hollywood (Bonus with 3, 5 and 7 Day Cards):

I arrived as the gates were about to be open. Redeeming this card is easy here. I recommend coming early. I highly recommend first doing the backlot tram tour as it gives you insights into the sets used in major Hollywood movies and TV series. It takes one hour. My camera bag fell off the tram during the Backlot tour, so I informed the staff right after the tour. The corteous, helpful staff were able to retrieve my camera bag. The staff who were guarding other rides and attractions like The Mummy and Transformers were also friendly and courteous, helped me with the lockers and also directed me to the Single Rider line. I was travelling alone, so the Single Rider line allowed me to go on rides faster because they will put you in any seat that is free. There were Bumblebee and Optimus Prime making an appearance and people can take photos with them. If you are a single traveller, the staff who guard these "robots" could take a photo of you. The good thing about the park is that there is a screen that shows the wait times and show times, and there is a Single Rider line. I couldn't find any bad points for this park. Well maybe the Terminator 3D Tv show at the beginning feels a little bit outdated in this era.

Comments about Smart Destinations Universal Studios Hollywood (Bonus with 3, 5 and 7 Day Cards):

Great Idea. We used card at Wax Museum in Downtown Hollywood 1st then went to Universal Studios which was really close. Pay attention to only being able to use card if you buy a 3-day or more card. The site we found this deal at didn't show us that rule and we had to fork over more money to get in to Universal Studios. Even with that we had a good time. BUYER BE WARE!

Comments about Smart Destinations Universal Studios Hollywood (Bonus with 3, 5 and 7 Day Cards):

Just got back from a great stay on LA. The day itself at Universal Studios was fabulous! The discuraging part was the park entry. Please be prepared to stay in the Guest Services line for about an hour to get the park entry passes to get in. The park itself is very different than the one one in Florida. This park doen't have as many rides, but the Studio tour makes up for that! Other than the loss of an hour to get in, we had a great time!

Not as good as Florida's Studio
By Disbabe Verified Reviewer from Stafford, UK on
Pros:
Excellent studio tour
Cons:
Not the best Universal Unhelpful Staff Too small
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Smart Destinations Universal Studios Hollywood (Bonus with 3, 5 and 7 Day Cards):

The park is too small for the number of people who attend it. Gets frustrating having to dodge other people. Would definately recommend getting there early so that you are near the front at "rope drop". Having gone at the height of summer - would definately recommend doing the studio tour first as the wait time after disembarking was at least an hour and a half and that remained throughout the day. I would then recommend doing the Simpson ride as that was our longest wait that day. We then went down to the bottom lot and got everything done down there very quickly. We then went back upo to the upper level and was absolutely heaving - not enough space for people to move without dodging one another. We were all freaked out by the House of Horror - too long and too many people jumping out at you (attraction not for the faint hearted) - caused my 12 year old to have nightmares. We left at 5pm as we'd had enough of the crowds and spent the rest of the day/evening at Citywalk, which was very enjoyable. My overall opinion - we much prefer Universal Studios Florida as you never feel overcrowded and has more to offer, however, the studio tour could not be beaten (if they could just have that in Florida that would be the ultimate!) Unfortunately - we did experience rudeness from a CM. My hubby was in a queue to buy some water and when he got to the front of it, the queue had decided to move over, so the CM told my hubby he had queue jumped as the queue was to his side. When he tried to explain, she was having none of it, so hubby gave up and came away. I was prepared to go to customer services to complain, but wasn't worth it as we won't be going again. Overall we did have an enjoyable day, but just isn't to Florida's standards.
