Not as good as Florida's Studio
By Disbabe Verified Reviewer from Stafford, UK on 8/20/2011
Pros:
Excellent studio tour
Cons:
Unhelpful Staff Not the best Universal Too small
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Smart Destinations Universal Studios Hollywood (Bonus with 3, 5 and 7 Day Cards):

The park is too small for the number of people who attend it. Gets frustrating having to dodge other people. Would definately recommend getting there early so that you are near the front at "rope drop". Having gone at the height of summer - would definately recommend doing the studio tour first as the wait time after disembarking was at least an hour and a half and that remained throughout the day. I would then recommend doing the Simpson ride as that was our longest wait that day. We then went down to the bottom lot and got everything done down there very quickly. We then went back upo to the upper level and was absolutely heaving - not enough space for people to move without dodging one another. We were all freaked out by the House of Horror - too long and too many people jumping out at you (attraction not for the faint hearted) - caused my 12 year old to have nightmares. We left at 5pm as we'd had enough of the crowds and spent the rest of the day/evening at Citywalk, which was very enjoyable. My overall opinion - we much prefer Universal Studios Florida as you never feel overcrowded and has more to offer, however, the studio tour could not be beaten (if they could just have that in Florida that would be the ultimate!) Unfortunately - we did experience rudeness from a CM. My hubby was in a queue to buy some water and when he got to the front of it, the queue had decided to move over, so the CM told my hubby he had queue jumped as the queue was to his side. When he tried to explain, she was having none of it, so hubby gave up and came away. I was prepared to go to customer services to complain, but wasn't worth it as we won't be going again. Overall we did have an enjoyable day, but just isn't to Florida's standards.

The pass was a good way to enjoy more than one attraction.. need to plan ahead to use that wisely. Especially taking small kids.. can't be going to exciting /tiring places 3 days in a roll.. will be too worn out by then

Two adults (38) hustled to see EVERY big show/ride/attraction. Exhausting first day of vacation but worth the money.
