Comments about Smart Destinations New York Explorer Pass:

Didnt like the fact you had to collect tickets for the bus tour. You should be able to stipulate you want the tickets and get them printed from the website in advance someway. Also the bus tour company used were not very frequent as the others.

Comments about Smart Destinations New York Explorer Pass:

If you plan on going to New York and visiting multiple attractions, this is definitively a must. I saved a lot of money and had no problem getting the tickets on any of the attractions I went to. With added benefit of not needing to decide where to go in advance. The only tricky part is getting the tickets the Statue of Liberty ferry, but it was well documented on the website and PDF guide, so no problems there. Staff were very helpful and friendly. I recommend.

Doesn't Skip Lines, Isn't That Much Cheaper

Comments about Smart Destinations New York Explorer Pass:

I had a three use ticket. I went to Moma, which was great, but I did not need to have bought in advance and it wasn't any cheaper. I did a circle line tour and again wasn't any cheaper if I'd been buying there and then. I still had to stand in line. Finally I did the Empire State and that was simply awful, huge lines and I didn't save very much for buying in advance. The lines took so long I had no time left at the top. About 45 minutes to get up and 10 minutes up there because it also took about 25 mins to get down. And a lot of very unpleasant herding and crowds. If you say "skips lines" then it should mean exactly that.

Comments about Smart Destinations New York Explorer Pass:

Great thing is you save money and its prepaid. The greatness ends there. You can not pre book a tour with this card so you have the very real chance of missing out on an attraction that you really want to do and have technically already paid for. On most attractions you have to go to a particular place to pick up tickets. For example. Sex and the city tour. I had to walk 17 blocks from my hotel in Times Square to get my ticket. Waste of precious time I had in this fantastic city. There was no front of the line considering you have already paid and have your ticket???? Would not use this pass again It caused more stress than ease. Pay the extra to book your attraction on line to save the stress of wondering if you can even get in!

Absolutly recommendable

Comments about Smart Destinations New York Explorer Pass:

We would definitly order the New York Explorer Pass again, when we will visit New York. We could decide spontaneous what we want to do right at the time. The most proftitable activity was the Bike Rental at Central Park. We cycled from the Central park to the Grand Central Station and back. It was awsome and very exicting for guys, who had never been riding a bike in a metroplois. :-) All the other attractions were also very recomandable, even the "Ripleys Believe it or not" (oltough it is a little bit freaky)

Comments about Smart Destinations New York Explorer Pass:

I researched the various options for attraction tickets and thought this would work as you pay for attractions you want to see and not those you don't. Also the vouchers lasted the entire duration of our holiday. Well priced and easy to use, highly recommend

A must to ensure you see what you want
By Aussie from Australia on
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Smart Destinations New York Explorer Pass:

It forces you to research the sights before you go which is an advantage. It gives you plenty of flexibility unlike other passes. You can even change your mind when you get there as you buy the number of scenic attractions not specific ones. NB. You don't need one for the MET as you can get in with a gold coin donation.
