Bike and Roll Central Park and the Greenway Tour

Bike and Roll Central Park Tours provide you with an experienced tour guide who will roll you around to your heart’s content before leading you to New York’s green zone: Central Park. 843 acres of bike-friendly lanes that run almost the length of Manhattan make for an incredible workout and memorable tour. 12th Avenue to the W44th Street exit. Turn west into the Circle Line turnaround. the parking garage entrance is on the right.

After you pause in remembrance, make your way to the stunning Belvedere Castle, a Victorian-style structure built in 1869 atop Central Park’s Vista Rock, the highest point in the park, which has a fantastic view. Built of grey granite, the castle has an eclectic past, having been completed under the infamous Tammany Hall political organization, and later housing the New York Meteorological Observatory. In 1983 the building’s beauty and potential were realized by the Central Park Conservancy and has been open to the public since.

Also noteworthy on this distinctive bike tour of Central Park is a stop at the Shakespeare Garden. Traditionally, Shakespeare Gardens contain plants mentioned in Shakespearean works such as mulberry trees and wild thyme, and are often used to perform Shakespearean plays and other theatrical works. Planted in 1916, this garden is very close to the Delacorte Theater, home to the New York Shakespeare Festival.

No fitness center in your hotel? Bring the whole family and bike yourself tired while seeing some of the city’s most photogenic spots. Bike and Roll is suitable for people of all fitness levels and ages, provided they are able to ride a bike. we received lots of information's about the park and some additional about NYC, we did not know even after stopping by every year, great guide, she was very friendly and was able to tell us a lot, I can recommend this tour.

A great first-time visit to Central Park

A neat way to see most all of Central Park in one fell swoop. Experienced and friendly guides that look after you, even chasing down your wayward kids that get off the tour by mistake (Word of advice : show some class by not playing it cheap and walking away without tipping the guides, they've earned it and deserve to know it). Our 7 year old was better off in a tag-a-long, as some hills could be a challenge for young riders. Keep that in mind, as you don't want to hold up the rest of the group. Group sizes though are small, approx 10 to a guide.
