Metropolitan Museum of Art (includes same-day admission to the Cloisters)

Recently named one of the Top 25 Museums in the United States by TripAdvisor!

The Metropolitan Museum of Art is New York City’s most-visited attraction and the monarch of American art museums. Housing an astonishing two million works of art and artifacts, the Met requires ample time to revel in its eclectic and vast exhibitions. Rare collections such as Guitar Heroes: Legendary Craftsmen from Italy to New York, The Emperor’s Private Paradise: Treasure’s from the Forbidden City, and Cezanne’s Card Players rotate to the Museum at intervals, complementing its sufficiently stunning and diverse mainstays.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art is truly among the most prestigious institutions in this city, and it would be a shame to leave NYC without paying it a visit. While it may take a lifetime to fully appreciate its vast collections, this is one excellent way to spend an afternoon. Bonus: Your ticket includes same-day admittance to The Cloisters!

The Metropolitan Museum of Art is housed in an iconic building on Fifth Avenue. The artistic periods and art are charted on the museum’s Heilbrunn Timeline of Art History, giving visitors geographical and chronological context to help them navigate the halls. Comments about Smart Destinations Metropolitan Museum of Art (includes same day admission to Cloisters):

I went to this museum with my future in-laws who previously thought they were not "museum people". They ended up loving it and said it was their favorite NYC attraction! I have been about 4 times before and always love coming back. There is so much art to take in...it's amazing how you feel transported through different eras in time and places in the world as you enter each different section!

Comments about Smart Destinations Metropolitan Museum of Art (includes same day admission to Cloisters):

Fabulous; you'll be amazed by the breadth and value of the collection. I highly recommend doing the free guided tours if you've never been before. This is big but also elegant; some really nice cafes and restaurants for short breaks. I recommend dedicating a whole day for this museum.

Comments about Smart Destinations Metropolitan Museum of Art (includes same day admission to Cloisters):

I loved the Art in the really big museum. And with a visit of the roof 5th floor our experience went perfekt. The only backdraw was, that the 10% reduction offer in the art store does not apply. You have to spend 50$ to get 10$,...
