Was good
By Gigo Drol from Gatineau Qc Ca on
Pros:
Multi Languages Tour
Cons:
Microphone Broken

Comments about Smart Destinations Twilight Bus Tour by City Sights:

The mulit language device was nice. The live guide though was using a microphone that was not working. So anybody that were not using hte device (mostly Egnlish peoples) could not hear the guide and stories.

Bus tours

Comments about Smart Destinations Twilight Bus Tour by City Sights:

We wanted to do the manhattan hop on and hop off bus tour, and we bought the 7 attraction pass, we also wanted to do the holiday lights tour, but it is not clear on the website that you can't do both, it was only after we bought the tickets that we discovered it is only one or the other, and so we only needed a 5 attraction pass - the website makes it sound as though you can choose any of the passes, when actually there are many bus tours and you can only choose one. This needs to be clearer on the website.

Chilly but Lovely time!

Comments about Smart Destinations Twilight Bus Tour by City Sights:

Let me start by saying that this tour was a great value and the views were gorgeous. Unfortunately we took the tour on one of the coldest nights in February when it was approximately 5 degrees out. The top of the bus is only partially covered and we did not have any shelter from the ice-cold wind. This did detract from some of our enjoyment, but nonetheless we still took some beautiful pictures and had some quality snuggle time (totally required to stay warm!) Definitely recommend this attraction, but I would stick to the April - October time frame. Oh, and beware if you are scared of bridges... going over one on the top deck of a bus with a "high winds" warning was a little scary :)

It may be chilly, but it sure is pretty

Comments about Smart Destinations Twilight Bus Tour by City Sights:

It was my first trip to New York City to see a photography exhibit at a museum downtown. We had some time to kill so my friend and I were crazy enough to do this night tour in the dead of winter. We went all out and sat in the back of the open-air bus away from the shelter overhead. It was definitely freezing and had we dressed a little smarter it wouldn't of been a huge bother. But the lights/views were great...including downtown, crossing the Manhattan Bridge and then in Brooklyn looking back at the city. Go on this tour...just go when it's warmer! Fun caveat: in a number of places on Sixth Ave, our heads came seemingly close to (but probably not realistically close to) traffic lights right above us. Never a safety issue...much more of an exciting/watch out! type moment.
