Thousands of visitors come to see, and enter the interior of, the Statue of Liberty each week. As such, planning ahead to secure a reservation is crucial, and this ticket allows you to do just that. Please also be aware that security is understandably tight at this attraction, and visitors will go through a brief security check before entering. Visitors can also enter the Ellis Island Immigration Museum on the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island Immigration Museum Ticket.
Ellis Island was once the immigration hub of the nation. One half of the present-day population of the United States traces its roots back to ancestors who did indeed arrive in American waters by ship, and wait with the masses at Ellis Island through periods of quarantine and hardship, before gaining entry to the “Land of Opportunity”. In 2001, the National Park Service joined with the Statue of Liberty-Ellis Island Foundation to create the American Family Immigration History Center, where visitors can conduct research into their own family histories, tracing ancestry through Ellis Island’s extensive database and archives. Let your imagination and sentimentality take over as you enter Ellis Island’s waters by ferry, and envision what 12 million immigrants once beheld as they started their voyage to become Americans citizens. Guided tours are available with a park ranger.
Bring your family and visit two of the most historically significant destinations in New York, which can both be conveniently accessed using the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island Immigration Museum Ferry Ticket.
