Company Offers Smart Solution to Sightseeing in Six Cities
By David Cogswell
March 17, 2005 - Smart Destinations, the creator of
a smart card concept of multi-attraction passes for cities, is rolling
out products for four more cities.
Smart Cards will roll out for Seattle May 1, Chicago May 20, Orlando
May 31 and San Diego June 10.
The company began in 2003 with its Go Boston Card, which provides admissions
or discounts to 60 attractions in and around the city. It followed with
the Go San Francisco Card in 2004, which now has 32 attractions participating
and will be adding an additional 15 on April 1.
The cards come with a guidebook with maps and destination information,
and a listing of which attractions participate in the program and how.
For example, some attractions give card holders full admission; for
others, it qualifies the holder for discounts or special deals.
Cards are available in one-, two, three-, five- or seven-day versions
for the various cards. Prices range from $39 to $139, depending on the
length and the city.
