Sea Life Park

We love the compact size of this marine park. It's jam-packed with opportunities to get face to face with all kinds of sea life. Separate shows featuring dolphins, sea lions and penguins are huge with kids. Fun, educational and sometimes thrilling!

World-class Sea Life Park of Hawaii sits just fifteen miles from Waikiki, perched between the beautiful Koolau Mountain Range and Makapuu Beach. Your visit will give you the unique opportunity to feed sea turtles, get up close with the endangered Humboldt penguins, watch sea lions perform acrobatic feats, and so much more! Take this opportunity to see beautiful marine life in a place that’s teeming with the stuff! Don’t just marvel at the surface of Hawaii’s waters, discover what lies beneath!

Any Oahu native will attest to the uniqueness of this park, which is a regular school field trip destination. On display are more than 30 reef species in a massive 300,000-gallon tank, including vivid tropical fish and Hawaiian reef sharks. The Kolohe Kai Sea Lion Show takes place twice daily, showcasing the antics of these smart, fast, and funny fin-footed mammals.

By New Yorker from NY on

Comments about Smart Destinations Sea Life Park General Admission:

This is a nice clean park with shops and food. There was little else there besides a few small attractions & the main event which is the Dolphin Encounter. I would recommend this if you are going for the Dolphins.

My daughter and my spouse loved the dolphin show and the dolphin encounter...it's worth it. Don't plan on spending the whole day here...few hours will do it. The views where the dolphin show takes place are unmatched.

Comments about Smart Destinations Sea Life Park General Admission:

This is very small, do not expect Sea World but still worth seeing. The Reef tank is really beautiful and the different tropical fish were great to watch. Some of the shows are really meant for younger children but we enjoyed the dolphin show very much. The views from the bleachers are really something...the ocean and a couple of islands right off shore.

Disappointing
By Family of four Verified Reviewer from Sacramento, Ca on
Pros:
We didnt have to pay more
Cons:
Poor condition
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Comments about Smart Destinations Sea Life Park General Admission:

I would only recommend going here because it is included in the price of the card. Otherwise it is a waste of time. You can see the whole place in a half hour. The animals were all kept in very small areas, the place was not well kept and the shows were fairly boring.

Do NOT go to Sea Life Park!!!

Comments about Smart Destinations Sea Life Park General Admission:

Sea Life park is Horrible! The conditions that they keep the animals in seems criminal to me. You get there at 10:00am (If you take their bus) and you can't leave until at lest 2:30. in my naïveté I told the driver that I had planned to stay until 4:30. He replied, "After you see the park, you won't want to stay, trust me." He was right, I wanted to leave after a few minutes, asked for a refund and was laughed at. I have attached photos to show the conditions.
