Pearl Harbor and Honolulu City are among Hawaii’s most popular attractions, proving that there is so much more to the islands than pristine beaches, world-class surfing, and stunning wildlife (although aren’t those reason enough for a visit?) The Pearl Harbor & Honolulu City Tour is a great opportunity to get in touch with the history of the area while also learning about the tragic conflict that devastated the island of Oahu and changed the course of history forever through its impact on the events of World War II. This comprehensive tour is one of Oahu’s most popular sightseeing experiences and should not be missed. The tour lasts between seven and eight hours, departing in the morning and returning in the early afternoon, so plan to spend the entire day with your tour guide, and perhaps opt to use the remainder of your afternoon reflecting upon the day’s sights, and lounging on the beach in Waikiki, where the tour ends.
The Pearl Harbor Tour is fully narrated, and is a great option for first-time visitors to Honolulu to get oriented to the city and get a taste of many of the attractions you can explore later in more depth. Here’s a look at the tour highlights:
Your tour guide will point out the history and intricacies of Oahu along this well-plotted route, ensuring your tour is both informative, entertaining, and showcases the beautiful scenery of the island. Your trip to the Pearl Harbor memorials will leave you with a somber understanding of the importance of December 7th, 1941 in the developments of World War II, and the impact that day had on millions of people worldwide. This is a first-rate tour and should be a “must” on any travelers’ itinerary when visiting the beautiful state of Hawaii.

Comments about Smart Destinations Pearl Harbor & Honolulu City Tour:
Firstly, with the go oahu card, dont forget to pick up your audio & headphones at the start- it is included. We didn't realize so missed out. A chilling tour of the Arizona- to be right there where it all happened. We met some of the survivors of Pearl Harbour. Wonderful memorial of an event long past but still in our history.

Comments about Smart Destinations Pearl Harbor & Honolulu City Tour:
They told me I couldnt get in free to memorial if i didnt take the bus. They assured me that the ride was only going to be 45 mins and it was an hour and a half. My husband and I have a 3.5 yr old and an 18 mo old needless to say the bus ride was hard. When he finally did fall asleep it was sort of interesting but i could understand most of what the driver was saying because of his thick japanese accent. Worth it if you really want to do Pearl Harbor and have it included in the card, but rethink it if you have young kids and a short temper like me...

Comments about Smart Destinations Pearl Harbor & Honolulu City Tour:
Our tour guide, Nick was wonderful. He was very informative and had all kinds of neat stories about Pearl Harbor and Honolulu. The Pearl Harbor memorial was a little boring, but it was great to be able to go and honor those that died that day. We got to tour the USS Bowfin while we waited for our tour time, and it was very cool to see. This is great if you would like a general tour of the area without wasting an entire day.

Comments about Smart Destinations Pearl Harbor & Honolulu City Tour:
This tour is very boring for me. There is nothing to see in Arizona Memorial Museum. It is just an unidentified part of old old ship and names of navy.

Comments about Smart Destinations Pearl Harbor & Honolulu City Tour:
This tour was nice enough, but I wish that we had more time at the stops. The tour guide told us that, although our Go Cards said we would be gone from 7:00 AM to 2:00 to 2:30 PM, we would be back to Waikiki by 1:00 PM. He said this was due to the economic downturn. The Arizona Memorial was impressive, as was the Punchbowl Crater. It was a bit disappointing not to be allowed off the bus at the Punchbowl however. The city tour was fun, but we felt rushed when we stopped for photos. All in all, it delivered what it promised, but no more.
