The USS Arizona is a solemn memorial to those who lost their lives during the attack on Pearl Harbor. It is the most visited attraction on Oahu and should be a "must-see” on your itinerary. The Arizona serves as the final resting place for many of the 1,177 crewmen killed on December 7, 1941. The Arizona Memorial is also a memorial for all those that gave their lives on December 7, in Hawaii, Guam and Saipan. This poignant audio tour will give you a better understanding of the events of the ill-fated day that would forever change the course of world history.

Admission to the new Pearl Harbor Visitor Center is free, but tickets to the adjacent movie theater, as well as for the boat ride to the Arizona Memorial are distributed on a “first-come first-served” basis.

Your pass gives you access to the award-winning USS Arizona Memorial Audio Tour. This 90-minute audio tour takes visitors to 28 destinations within the Park and is available in seven languages: English, French, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, German, and Spanish. The professionally made Audio Tour at the USS Arizona Memorial is narrated by dozens of Pearl Harbor survivors and Jamie Lee Curtis, an award winning actress and daughter of Tony Curtis; who himself was a famous actor and War World II veteran.

The comprehensive audio tour is designed to complement the historical displays found throughout the new Pearl Harbor Visitor Center; and brings to life the personal stories behind this national tragedy, while exemplifying the valor, courage and infamy exhibited on Dec 7, 1941. With both the Audio Tour and paying a visit to the new exhibits in the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center such as the "The Road to War" and "Attack", you will be provided in-depth details and fascinating information about the Pearl Harbor surprise attack.

This exciting Audio Tour continues on the shuttle boat that takes you to the Arizona Memorial, and then inside the memorial itself. The Audio Tour then continues at the Pearl Harbor Lookout at the Visitor Center and covers the "Path of the Japanese Attack". Next the Audio Tour will take you to the "Remembrance Circle" and relay the amazing story of the "USS Arizona Anchor" that weighs over 19,000 pounds and was blown over 100 yards away from the explosion. The Audio Tour then gives a final summary, recapping the timeline of events you have witnessed along the way.

Consider visiting the USS Arizona Memorial as early in the day as possible to avoid large crowds and lines. The theater and boat ride have up to 30 scheduled programs daily with seating for 150 in each program, with an averaging 3,500 visitors per day and 1.3 million visitors annually.

No bags of any kind are allowed—not even purses-- and they must be checked at the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center for a fee of about $3 each. There is now ample free parking at the new Pearl Harbor Visitor Center. Remember that you are visiting the site of tremendous loss of life, and that the USS Arizona Memorial is a somber and quiet place. Cell phones must be turned off at the memorial. It is also requested that visitors dress appropriately and conservatively.

The USS Arizona Memorial is part of the National Park Service’s WWII “Valor in the Pacific” National Monument. The new Pearl Harbor Visitor Center and museums were officially dedicated on December 7, 2010, after have undergone a $56 million renovation.
