Description

Located midway between downtown Miami and Miami Beach, the Miami Children's Museum is a fun-filled interactive environment with hundreds of things for kids to do. The museum is dedicated to enriching the lives of all children by fostering a love of learning and enabling children to realize their highest potential. Visitors of all ages are encouraged to play together, learn, imagine, and create.

All interactive and bilingual exhibits emphasize the arts, culture, community, and communication and include a everday places such as a supermarket, a bank, and a TV studio, as well as a 2-story sandcastle of dreams, a 30-foot rock climbing wall, an almost life-sized cruise ship, a new outdoor playground, and much more! In addition to all of the exhibits, the museum offers daily programs, seasonal classes and camps, learning materials, KidSmart, an educational gift shop, and a Subway restaurant for when you need to refuel.

Tip: Parking is $1 per hour.

From north or south: I-95 N or S to I-395/MacArthur Causeway exit. Exit I-395 at Watson Island and follow road to the museum. Museum and parking on left. From east: I-395/MacArthur Causeway to Watson Island exit. Turn left. Follow curved road under the overpass. Museum and parking on right. From west: 836 East to I-395/MacArthur Causeway exit. Exit I-395 at Watson Island and follow road to the museum. Museum and parking on left.
