At the Museum of Discovery and Science Fort Lauderdale, spend a day of discovery exploring two floors of fascinating interactive exhibits. See sharks and the largest living Atlantic coral reef in captivity, hang out with bats, be charmed by a 12-foot snake, plus pet alligators, turtles and iguanas.

Test your pilot skills in nine cockpit simulators and learn about Florida's amazing Everglades in the Living in the Everglades exhibit. Discover our place in aerospace at Runways to Rockets, our space exhibit, and take a simulated trip to the Moon or Mars. Make it a play date at the Discovery Center, designed especially for children under seven.

Hang out with bats, turtles and sharks. Meet an alligator and be charmed by a 6-foot-long snake. Take a ride to Mars or soar through the skies in an FA-18 cockpit simulator. Whether you’re two or 82, visit the Museum of Discovery and Science Fort Lauderdale and enjoy a full day of family fun!

Sunday 12:00 noon-6:00 pm AutoNation IMAX Theater has extended hours most evenings.

Closings

Open 365 days a year including Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Add on the IMAX Experience for an additional fee. Tickets can be purchased at the Box Office located in the Museum Atrium. Fees vary depending on film.

Parking is managed by the City of Fort Lauderdale. Fees are $7.00 per car Mon-Fri. 9:00 am-6:00 pm and $12.00 after 6 pm and on weekends.

Driving Directions

Take I-95 north (from Miami) or south (from Palm Beach) to Broward Boulevard. Drive east to SW Fifth Avenue (Commodore Brook Avenue). Turn right. The Museum will be on the left and Science garage on your right.
