Put yourself at the scene of an 18th-century Spanish galleon, docked in an aquamarine lagoon. The stars are shining, the cannons are firing, and dozens of pirates are swarming the decks. Throw in dinner and some hilarious acting, and you’ve got Orlando’s favorite dinner adventure show.

Picture the scene: You’re standing on the shore, marveling at an 18th-century Spanish galleon anchored in a massive aquamarine-colored lagoon, stars twinkling in the night sky, with dozens of hook and rag-clad pirates swarming the decks, cannons blasting in the background and cheers exploding as targets are hit on either side. You’re at Pirates Dinner Adventure in Orlando, and you now have the chance to play an actual role in the action as the evil Captain Sebastian leads his crew of renegades to overtake a ship before your very eyes! This show, which has been running for 15 years, is an epic, interactive adventure that visitors of all ages will adore.

Pirates Dinner Adventure is about as authentic a pirate experience as you’ll get without actual time travel. The ship is an authentically-replicated 18th-century galleon measuring 46 feet in length, and holding a 40-foot mast. The aquamarine lagoon is a simulated 300,000 gallon indoor lake, complete with night sky lighting, and audience members will take their seats among 6 additional ships that skirt the lagoon.

Guests on each side of the 6 ships are guided by a fearless pirate mascot, whom they cheer on, along with a dozen actors, singers and stunt performers. Expect lots of cannon blasts, pyrotechnics and a generally awesome time! And yes--- you will play a part in the action.

Your “Port of Call Feast” at Pirates Dinner Adventure, Orlando, will be enough food to satisfy even the hungriest swashbuckler, and options include roast chicken leg quarter in savory dressing; roast pork tenderloin; Caribbean rice and roasted red potatoes with salad (to prevent scurvy, of course); and then “Mr. Magee’s Favorite Dessert”. And what kind of pirate show would this be if you weren’t offered a measure of the captain’s draught? Two rounds of beer (or soft drinks and coffee) are served during the main show, and a cash bar is available at all times through the evening….Arrrrrren’t you glad you booked a Pirates Dinner Adventure?

So, the food wasn't amazing. It's about Denny's quality. The gift shop was obscenely expensive. Not even worth the time it took to look around. The show, on the other hand, was fantastic. There was a lot of crowd interaction, so for some parts fo the show, you got what you put in. The fighting was a lot of fun and well choreographed, the stage effects were great, and what fun it was to have pirates swinging OVER YOUR TABLE to the stage! My favorite part of this entire show I think was the Gypsy, who did an amazing ariel veil number that had her spinning well above the stage - it was mesmorizing I almost forgot to cheer at the end! All in all I think this would be an amazing trip for a family- if you get your tickets in advance, it should say what section you're in (a color). If it says RED, dress appropriately to cheer on your pirate!

the atmosphere was excellent in the preshow. we had good seats so we were right near the ship. very entertaining and funny show. Food was what you'd expect when they are cooking for 500+ people.

Comments about Smart Destinations Pirates Dinner Adventure:

As usual the brochure over promised the attraction but most do not over promise to this extent. Attended with three other adults and all four of us rated this the worst dinner show experience we had ever attended. Once you factor in the cost and the fact they charge extra for better seating and meal upgrades this becomes an experience to avoid. The food was third rate, at best. This is the first time I have been served scallops the size of pencil erasers. We could not see a significant portion of the show from our seats. We left well before the show ended.
