How does a Go San Diego Card Work?
  • Just select how many days you want to sightsee — we offer 1, 2, 3, 5, or 7-Day cards.
  • Your Go San Diego Card grants you admission to all 45 attractions for the number of days you bought the card for.
  • Simply present your pass at included attractions between 9:00am and 5:30pm.
  • Visiting your first attraction activates your card. Then, use it on consecutive calendar days.
How will I receive my pass?

You can choose to receive your pass:

  • Instantly on your smartphone — the most popular choice. Includes a digital guidebook and additional Skip the Ticket Line features.
  • Instantly print at home — just print it and go. Includes a digital guidebook and additional Skip the Ticket Line features.
  • Physical Card via Mail. Includes a full-color guidebook. Does not include the additional Skip the Line features that our Instant Delivery methods do.
  • Pick it up at one of our in-city pickup locations.
What is the SeaWorld® bonus offer?

Frequently Asked Questions

What are "consecutive calendar days"?

"Consecutive calendar days" are days in a row.

If you have a 3-Day card, and you visit your first attraction on a Monday, your card will be valid on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Start your day early to get the most out of your card!

How do I "activate" my card?

Simply visit your first attraction!

How many days should I buy?

Most travelers visit between 2 and 3 attractions each day depending on individual preference. Our most popular card is the 5-Day card.

Is my card valid all day?

You can enter attractions until 5:30pm with the Go San Diego Card.

What is your refund policy?

We know sometimes travel plans change, even at the very last minute. That's why, if you don't end up activating and using your pass within a year of the purchase date, we'll give you a full refund. No questions asked.

Here's the best part: unlike our competitors, this built-in cancellation insurance comes with every card purchase — free of charge.

If you have any questions, or if you would like to initiate a refund anytime within 1 year of your purchase, please call our Customer Care Team at 800-887-9103. We'll tell you how you can return your non-activated card or pass.

Please note: Activated passes are non-refundable.

What is the SeaWorld® bonus offer?

If you purchase a 3, 5 or 7-Day card, you can visit SeaWorld® on as many days as your card is valid. SeaWorld® is not included on 1 and 2 day cards.

Skip the Ticket Line at SeaWorld® when you choose Instant Delivery.

Which delivery method should I choose?

Instant delivery is the fastest and most popular option. You'll be able to access your Go San Diego Card from your email or on your phone immediately after you purchase. It also includes some added valued Skip the Line features at various attractions.

With instant delivery you will receive a printable and mobile version of our guidebook.

Having a physical card shipped in advance will save you time traveling to a pick up location when you get there. Note that transit times vary depending on shipping options. View delivery options. With shipped physical cards, you will get a full color printed guidebook but won’t get access to added value Skip the Line features that come with the digital delivery.

Do you ship Go San Diego Cards to hotels?

Sorry, we cannot ship to hotels because of delivery concerns.

I have a voucher, where can I pick up my card?

View a list of in-city pickup locations where you can redeem your voucher for cards.

Where can I buy the cards in San Diego?

View a list of sales locations in San Diego. Note that in-city purchases are available for full price only.

Does a Go San Diego Card expire?

Yes. You have one year from the date of purchase to begin using your pass. After one year, it will expire.

How much will I save?

We’ve made it easy to compare the combined gate prices with the price of the Go San Diego Card, to see how much you could save. Try our Savings Calculator!

How many attractions can I visit in one day?

On a Go San Diego Card, you can visit as many attractions as you want in a day from 9:00am to 5:30pm.

Can I visit an attraction more than once?

In most cases, you can visit each attraction once per day. Some attractions are valid only once during the life of the pass. Please reference your guidebook for specific information on each attraction.

What is the age cut off for child cards?

Child cards are for children ages 3-12. Most attractions do not charge for children under 3 years old. However, there are some exceptions (especially children's museums and attractions geared toward very young travelers). If you have a child under 3 years old, please check with the attraction directly in advance. You may be charged at the gate.

Do I need to make reservations to visit the attractions?

Attractions that require a reservation will display this symbol on the guidebook page.

Some attractions require a credit card to hold a reservation. In these cases, your credit card will not be charged unless you do not show up for your reservation.

What happens if an attraction is closed or a tour is cancelled due to weather or other problem?

While we do our best to ensure that all attractions are available, events happen that are out of our control. The great thing about a Go San Diego Card is that there are so many attractions to choose from. If an attraction is closed, or cannot be visited for some reason, we know you'll find a fun alternative in your guidebook!

What do I do if my Go San Diego Card is lost or stolen?

Unfortunately, it cannot be replaced if it is lost or stolen. Please treat the card like cash.

Can I share my Go San Diego Card with a friend, or sell it?

A Go San Diego Card is non-transferrable. Once you start using it, you are the only person who can use it to get into attractions. You must sign the signature strip on the back of the card and you may be asked to present an ID. Go San Diego Cards cannot be re-sold.

If you are traveling with a group, each traveller may be asked for proof of ID.

What’s the catch?

There’s no catch. Go San Diego Card has a partnership with all of the participating attractions to make your visit to San Diego as memorable as possible and to help you save time and money.

I still have questions!

Please feel free to call us at 866‑628‑9032 and we’ll be happy to help you!

Comments about Smart Destinations Go San Diego Card:

I was skeptical at first I did not know how it works . But after I purchases the tickets the best deal is it save you money if you use time management to visit all the attractions but the bad deal is that you have to rush to beat the time limit before 5:30pm. Anyway it saved me money instead of buying individual ticket at each site.

Best Uses:

Comments about Smart Destinations Go San Diego Card:

Just convenient to show the card at all the attractions rather than digging for money and carrying around tickets. The convenience of the card is huge. You also save a lot of money the more attractions you do. Unfortunate that it is only good until 5 or so in the evening though as that restricts how much you can do.

Go to ticket counter show pass and get paper tickets to park! We will definitely purchase again when we head out that way!

Be prepared to RUN
By Pokey from Cedar City, Ut on

Comments about Smart Destinations Go San Diego Card:

It was great because we were able to visit Balboa park. We wouldn't have taken the time to do that. Balboa Park is beautiful and has many historical and fun museums to check out. I wouldn't have bought museum tickets at the door it was too expensive. We also went to the San Diego Zoo, I'm not a huge zoo fan so this was a wasted day to me. If my family and me chose to do this again we will skip the zoo or just plan on riding the guided bus to see all the neat exhibits instead of walking the park. We loved the opportunity to enter Sea World everyday with the card our children loved it. We also used the card for Legoland, I'm not sure if getting the Lego magazine with the pay for an adult get free child admission would be a better deal then this card? It's something to consider because my children ages 8,5 and 1 would have rather spent most of their time there and at SeaWorld. I'm not sure that I would purchase this card again I'm not sure that it was totally worth the money because I felt rushed to get in to so many different places to use up the value we paid to purchase the card. It was a good experience to try so that our family could find what we really like and then find separate discounts for those places instead of using this card. I would suggest giving it a try and seeing if the value works for you, if not then you will know not to do it next time which we figured out.

Excellent Value
By Nancy from Sacramento, CA on
Pros:
Everything prepaid, So easy, So convenient, Save Solo Much Money
Cons:
To Save Money You Must, Some Restrictive Hours, Rushed 2 Events Per Day, To Save 2 Eventsday All Days Consecutive Do More Than 1 A Day
Best Uses:
SEA WORLD, Safari Park, Museums At Balboa Park,
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Smart Destinations Go San Diego Card:

To use the card, first get in the ticket purchase line at each event (this is fast). You will then take your ticket to the gate to enter. Do not forget to print out your card if you bought it online. We saw a family get turned away because they only printed out the receipt for purchase. Have your itinerary for the days your card covers planned out in advance by time of day and location. Many events have a commute, may be closed some days or have limited hours. Be ready for sunburn. You will need a lot of energy as you need to attend 2 events per day to make the card cost-effective.
