How it works

What is a Go San Diego Card?

A Go San Diego Card is an attraction pass that gets you into 45 San Diego attractions for one low price.

How does a Go San Diego Card Work?
  • Just select how many days you want to sightsee — we offer 1, 2, 3, 5, or 7-Day cards.
  • Your Go San Diego Card grants you admission to all 45 attractions for the number of days you bought the card for.
  • Simply present your pass at included attractions between 9:00am and 5:30pm.
  • Visiting your first attraction activates your card. Then, use it on consecutive calendar days.
How will I receive my pass?

You can choose to receive your pass:

  • Instantly on your smartphone — the most popular choice. Includes a digital guidebook and additional Skip the Ticket Line features.
  • Instantly print at home — just print it and go. Includes a digital guidebook and additional Skip the Ticket Line features.
  • Physical Card via Mail. Includes a full-color guidebook. Does not include the additional Skip the Line features that our Instant Delivery methods do.
  • Pick it up at one of our in-city pickup locations.
What is the SeaWorld® bonus offer?

If you purchase a 3, 5 or 7-Day card, you can visit SeaWorld® on as many days as your card is valid. SeaWorld® is not included on 1 and 2 day cards.

Skip the Ticket Line at SeaWorld® when you choose Instant Delivery.

What else does the pass include?

You'll get a guidebook with detailed attraction descriptions, hours of operation, and a map to help plan your itinerary. Plus extra dining, shopping and entertainment discounts to help you save even more along the way.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are "consecutive calendar days"?

"Consecutive calendar days" are days in a row.

If you have a 3-Day card, and you visit your first attraction on a Monday, your card will be valid on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Start your day early to get the most out of your card!

How do I "activate" my card?

Simply visit your first attraction!

How many days should I buy?

Most travelers visit between 2 and 3 attractions each day depending on individual preference. Our most popular card is the 5-Day card.

Is my card valid all day?

You can enter attractions until 5:30pm with the Go San Diego Card.

What is your refund policy?

We know sometimes travel plans change, even at the very last minute. That's why, if you don't end up activating and using your pass within a year of the purchase date, we'll give you a full refund. No questions asked.

Here's the best part: unlike our competitors, this built-in cancellation insurance comes with every card purchase — free of charge.

If you have any questions, or if you would like to initiate a refund anytime within 1 year of your purchase, please call our Customer Care Team at 800-887-9103. We'll tell you how you can return your non-activated card or pass.

Please note: Activated passes are non-refundable.

What is the SeaWorld® bonus offer?

Skip the Ticket Line at SeaWorld® when you choose Instant Delivery.

Which delivery method should I choose?

Instant delivery is the fastest and most popular option. You'll be able to access your Go San Diego Card from your email or on your phone immediately after you purchase. It also includes some added valued Skip the Line features at various attractions.

With instant delivery you will receive a printable and mobile version of our guidebook.

Having a physical card shipped in advance will save you time traveling to a pick up location when you get there. Note that transit times vary depending on shipping options. View delivery options. With shipped physical cards, you will get a full color printed guidebook but won’t get access to added value Skip the Line features that come with the digital delivery.

Do you ship Go San Diego Cards to hotels?

Sorry, we cannot ship to hotels because of delivery concerns.

I have a voucher, where can I pick up my card?

View a list of in-city pickup locations where you can redeem your voucher for cards.

View a list of sales locations in San Diego. Note that in-city purchases are available for full price only.

Does a Go San Diego Card expire?

Yes. You have one year from the date of purchase to begin using your pass. After one year, it will expire.

How much will I save?

We’ve made it easy to compare the combined gate prices with the price of the Go San Diego Card, to see how much you could save. Try our Savings Calculator!

How many attractions can I visit in one day?

On a Go San Diego Card, you can visit as many attractions as you want in a day from 9:00am-5:30pm.

Can I visit an attraction more than once?

In most cases, you can visit each attraction once per day. Some attractions are valid only once during the life of the pass. Please reference your guidebook for specific information on each attraction.

What is the age cut off for child cards?

Child cards are for children ages 3-12. Most attractions do not charge for children under 3 years old. However, there are some exceptions (especially children's museums and attractions geared toward very young travelers). If you have a child under 3 years old, please check with the attraction directly in advance. You may be charged at the gate.

Do I need to make reservations to visit the attractions?

Attractions that require a reservation will display this symbol on the guidebook page.

Some attractions require a credit card to hold a reservation. In these cases, your credit card will not be charged unless you do not show up for your reservation.

What happens if an attraction is closed or a tour is cancelled due to weather or other problem?

While we do our best to ensure that all attractions are available, events happen that are out of our control. The great thing about a Go San Diego Card is that there are so many attractions to choose from. If an attraction is closed, or cannot be visited for some reason, we know you'll find a fun alternative in your guidebook!

What do I do if my Go San Diego Card is lost or stolen?

Unfortunately, it cannot be replaced if it is lost or stolen. Please treat the card like cash.

Can I share my Go San Diego Card with a friend, or sell it?

A Go San Diego Card is non-transferrable. Once you start using it, you are the only person who can use it to get into attractions. You must sign the signature strip on the back of the card and you may be asked to present an ID. Go San Diego Cards cannot be re-sold.

If you are traveling with a group, each traveller may be asked for proof of ID.

What’s the catch?

There’s no catch. Go San Diego Card has a partnership with all of the participating attractions to make your visit to San Diego as memorable as possible and to help you save time and money.

I still have questions!

Comments about Smart Destinations Go San Diego Card:

We bought a GO Orlando card. The first place we used it they converted our paper receipts to a card. In San Diego, we couldn't do that. Everyplace I went I had to present the Paper receipt. It was very inconvenient.

Comments about Smart Destinations Go San Diego Card:

The pass was terrific. It usually takes my family awhile to start moving (when we're on vacation) and when I had the pass, I didn't feel like I was under any pressure to spend the whole day someplace like I would if we had paid the $350 admission. We could do the vacation and activities at our own pace, and go back the next day if we wanted to. It made the trip a lot more relaxing.

Comments about Smart Destinations Go San Diego Card:

The kids enjoyed the parks, and spent more money inside because admission was not an issue. We bought 3 day pass for $200 and used about $400 worth of regular admission, if we had paid for it, each person.

waste of money for 3-4 years old
By Jumi from Toronto on
Best Uses:
Zoo Legoland SEA WORLD Midway Flagship Cruise
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Smart Destinations Go San Diego Card:

Excellent deal for adults and older kids. It covers almost everything you want or don't want to see in the short timeframe. Not only in San Diego, as well as LA and Southern Cali. The only compliant I have is regarding the ticket we got for my 3 year old. The child ticket should really start at 4 or 5 and up. Most if not all the theme parks and activities we went was free admission for my son anyway, so his card (almost $250) was a complete waste of money. I wish I didn't buy it.

Worked Great!

Comments about Smart Destinations Go San Diego Card:

We had a good experience with the San Deigo Go Card. We bought a 7 day card and had found a coupon code which saved us some additional money off the price. We had no problems using it at any of the locations we visited (USS Midway, San Diego Zoo Safari Park, Legoland, Sea World, Fleet Science Center, Model Railroad Museum, San Diego Zoo). We had tickets for 4 adults and 2 kids. We did save a decent amount of money off the gate price overall. Could we have saved the same amount by using discount tickets and coupons to the same locations, maybe. But we were coming from the Philadelphia area and didn't want to have to deal with searching for discounts for each attraction and the San Diego Go Card made it very easy.
