What is a Go San Diego Card?

A Go San Diego Card is a multi-attraction pass that gets you into 42 San Diego attractions plus one premium attraction on 3, 5 and 7-Day cards for one low price.

How does a Go San Diego Card Work?
  • Just purchase passes for the number of days you want to sightsee — we offer 1, 2, 3, 5, or 7-Day cards.
  • Your Go San Diego Card grants you admission to any of the included attractions for the number of days you bought the card for.
  • Simply present your pass at included attractions for admission between 9:00am and 5:30. Pay nothing at the gate.
  • Visiting your first attraction activates your card. Then, use it on consecutive calendar days. ?
How will I get my pass?

Instantly on your smart phone and via email!

  • Just print out your pass and guidebook.
  • Or, display it on your smart phone.
What is the SeaWorld® bonus offer?

If you purchase a 3, 5 or 7-Day card, you can visit SeaWorld® on as many days as your card is valid. SeaWorld® is not included on 1 and 2 day cards.

Skip the Ticket Line at SeaWorld® when you choose Instant Delivery.

What else does the pass include?

You'll get a guide with detailed attraction descriptions, hours of operation, and a map to help plan your itinerary. Plus extra dining, shopping and entertainment discounts to help you save even more along the way.

Frequently Asked Questions Show All

What do you mean by "consecutive calendar days"?

"Consecutive calendar days" are days in a row, on a calendar. A calendar day is not a 24-hour period.

For example, if you have a 3-Day Go San Diego Card and visit your first attraction on a Monday evening, it is valid for the remainder of Monday (1st calendar day) and the two days immediately following it: Tuesday (2nd calendar day), and Wednesday (3rd calendar day).

Tip: to get the most out of your pass, plan to visit attractions early in the day.

Is this just a discount card? Will I still need to buy tickets?

No. Passes include admission to each attraction; no need to pay anything at the gate. Some attractions may offer upgrades or special exhibits for an additional fee.

Do I need to choose my attractions in advance?

Nope, you can choose from the included attractions as you go.

What is the age cut off for child cards?

Child cards are for children ages 3-12. Most attractions do not charge for children under 3 years old. However, there are some exceptions (especially children's museums and attractions geared toward very young travelers). If you have a child under 3 years old, please check with the attraction directly in advance. You may be charged at the gate.

How will I get my pass?

Instantly on your smart phone and via email!

  • Just print out your pass and guidebook.
  • Or, display it on your smart phone.
How do I "activate" my card?

Simply visit your first attraction!

Is my card valid all day?

You can enter attractions until 5:30 with the Go San Diego Card.

What is your refund policy?

You'll have a full year from the day you purchase your passes to receive a full refund, as long as they are unused. However, the passes are non-refundable once they're activated.

How many days should I buy?

Most travelers visit between 2 and 3 attractions each day depending on individual preference. Our most popular card is the 5-Day card.

Can I purchase passes on the spur of the moment when I arrive in San Diego?

Of course! With instant digital delivery, you can purchase and access passes right on your mobile device. Or, visit one of our local purchase locations.

Does a Go San Diego Card expire?

Yes. You have one year from the date of purchase to begin using your pass. After one year, it will expire.

How much will I save?

Try our Savings Calculator to easily compare the combined gate prices of the attractions you want to visit with the price of the Go San Diego Card. Or, check out some real savings examples from Go City Card customers to see how much they actually saved!

We give you the flexibility to create your own itinerary and choose the attractions you want to visit depending on your interests.

For inspiration, check out some of our sample itineraries, insider tips, and more for info on all the fun things to do in San Diego so you can make the most of your time here.

How many attractions can I visit in one day?

On a Go San Diego Card, you can visit as many attractions as you want in a day from 9:00am to 5:30.

Can I visit an attraction more than once?

In most cases, you can visit each attraction once per day. Some attractions are valid only once during the life of the pass. Please reference your guidebook for specific information on each attraction.

Do I need to make reservations to visit the attractions?

Attractions that require a reservation will display this symbol on the guidebook page.

Some attractions require a credit card to hold a reservation. In these cases, your credit card will not be charged unless you do not show up for your reservation.

What’s the catch?

There’s no catch. Go San Diego Card has a partnership with all of the participating attractions to make your visit to San Diego as memorable as possible and to help you save time and money.

Can I share my pass with a friend or sell it?

No. The Go San Diego Card is non-transferrable and may not be re-sold.

What happens if an attraction is closed or a tour is cancelled due to weather or other problem?

While we do our best to ensure that all attractions are available, events happen that are out of our control. The great thing about a Go San Diego Card is that there are so many attractions to choose from. If an attraction is closed, or cannot be visited for some reason, we know you'll find a fun alternative in your guidebook!

I still have questions!

Please feel free to call us at 800‑887‑9103 and we’ll be happy to help you!

Comments about Smart Destinations Go San Diego® Card All-Inclusive Pass:

Pay attention to your start time! We used it for a few hours one late afternoon then we had nothing to do our last half day there because I forgot our Day 1 was that afternoon. Pay attention to end times! We were 30 minutes after use time and that was a bummer for our evening and messed up that next day, too! Call way ahead if there is something you really want to do and make sure it covers all the costs, ie, kayaking paid for the rental but not the tour...we didn't have enough money budgeted for that.

Comments about Smart Destinations Go San Diego® Card All-Inclusive Pass:

I didn't know that the 3 day pass had to be used in 3 days right in a row. There should be some way on knowing that. Not happy with that part. But the rest was good.

Smart Destinations Response: Hi Sam, You are correct, the passes for San Diego need to be used in consecutive days. Most of the other cities allow for a 14 day time-frame. We hope you enjoyed the rest of your time in San Diego.
