There is no better way to see the hotspots of “America’s Finest City” than on one of Gray Line San Diego’s fleet. This popular Downtown San Diego tour will take you through the city’s vibrant Gaslamp Quarter, where Wyatt Earp once lived. You’ll then travel along the harbor taking in the beautiful and sun-drenched views of the stoic and legendary aircraft carrier, USS Midway. Venture next across the Coronado Bridge to Coronado Island, home of the area’s most beautiful beaches as well as charming village-style streets and the luxurious, beachfront Hotel del Coronado—a National Historic Landmark that opened in 1888, and the first hotel to use electric lighting.

Your tour guide will then escort you to Balboa Park, a 1,200 acre space that was home to the very first World’s Fair and now is the foremost tourist attraction in the San Diego because of its museums, theaters, gardens, restaurants, as well as the legendary San Diego Zoo. You’ll spend a little time in La Jolla, a beachfront neighborhood that is known as “the Jewel of the Pacific” and is a hotspot for boardwalk activity and nightlife. You’ll finish up your trip by enjoying a taste of historic San Diego in the city’s Old Town district, a National Park that is often referred to as the “Jamestown of the Pacific”, and was once the seat of local culture and government during the “pueblo period” following independence from Mexico.

Needless to say, a trip with Gray Line San Diego will prove a memorable and worthwhile experience. The Downtown Tour lasts approximately four hours and gives you ample time to see the big picture of this glorious coastal city from a unique perspective and with the valuable insights of your San Diegan guide.
