Old Town Trolley Tours brings you a hop-on, hop-off trolley tour of San Diego, taking you past over 100 sites on one of its brightly-colored green and orange trolleys! You’ll experience what Old Town Trolleys refers to as “transportainment,” with a friendly conductor to give you the scoop on San Diego, “America’s Finest City”! Here’s a look at some of the highlights and stops that you may pass along your tour:

  • Historic Gaslamp Quarter: Featuring stained glass windows, carvings, columns, railings, and other elegant architectural features such as gaslamps and brick sidewalks lining the streets where you’ll find quaint boutiques, theaters, shops, and restaurants.

Excellent Tour, Inconvenient Go Pass Selection
By LH from Montreal, Canada on
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Smart Destinations Hop-on Hop-off Trolley by Old Town Trolley:

The tour brought us to many interesting sights around San Diego. The drivers added a lot of background stories about the landmarks and were quite animated. One driver would recite jokes while stopped at a traffic light that my kids are still quoting. The only negative was the ticket taker who greeted us. She did not seem happy that we had a Go Pass and we were required to fill in a claim form so that the tour company would be paid. After conveniently using the Go Pass for many activities, this was the only attraction that gave us a hassle. Beware, the Hop On, Hop Off is only available on a Build Your Own Card!

The Trolley comes about every 30 minutes I believe so that means you're never waiting long. I really enjoyed learning unique things about the attractions from the driver as they take you from one point to the next. If you are wanting to entertain guests in a fun exciting way while they're here in San Diego, this is the way to do it!
