"The Del's" visionary founders-Elisha Babcock and H.L. Story-dreamed of building a seaside resort that would be 'the talk of the Western world.' Since then, the resort has become a living legend, visited by celebrities, dignitaries and U.S. presidents. In fact, publisher Rand McNally recognized the Hotel del Coronado for enjoying 'more fame and historical significance than perhaps any hotel in North America.' The Coronado Historical Association leads this walking tour of one of America’s most beautiful beach resorts.

Note: The tour is available exclusively on Tuesday with advance reservations.

Note:

Customers must register for the tour at the Musuem of History and Art in Coronado (three blocks from the Hotel Del on 1100 Orange Avenue).

From 1-5 N or S, take the Coronado Bridge (Rte 75) to Orange Ave. Left on Orange Ave.

Reservations are required for the 75 minute-long tour.

Please be courteous to the Historical Association and call at least 48 hours in advance if you have to cancel. (The tour only accommodates 12 people, so any cancellations without notice will greatly disrupt their business). For reservations, please call: 619-437-8788.

The Go City Card is accepted until 5:30pm unless otherwise noted; during all other times standard admission will apply.
