Comments about Smart Destinations LEGOLAND California:

I had a printed voucher, but inadvertently left it at Sea World - it was on the same page as a 3-for-1 pass for Sea World, SD Zoo, & Safari Park. They pretty easily processed that voucher, but I unfortunately no longer had the printed copy. In this day & age I assumed the exact same voucher on my phone would be fine, plus I emailed ahead of time to try & get ahead of it with zero response. While at guest services (Wed. 8/12 9:30-10 AM) they asked me to forward the voucher to them so that they could print it, which seemed easy enough. It wasn't, they had a litany of excuses & other hoops for me to jump through each time I did what they asked. The window rep & her supervisor were contradicting each other the whole time & never reached out for higher help. At Sea World they called their accounting dept. & a few minutes later we were enjoying the park. At Legoland it took 20 minutes, at least, where they were blatantly trying to get me to pay again for admission & then I would have to deal w/reimbursement on the back end. Finally, when I became angry they gave me some long form to fill out, & even then they were reluctant to let us in (plus we were charged some extra $15 that nobody could explain). What would it have hurt if they had taken our information & just let us in? The likelihood that we were trying to get something over them you (how often does that even happen?) was extremely small, but they chose to treat us as if we were, ruin our experience before we even entered, & ensured that we'll never consider Legoland or even buying Legos again. If you assume everyone's on the up & up, maybe 0.01% of the time someone gets over on you, but enforcing rules as if everyone's trying to ticks off the other 99.99% unnecessarily. We, & everyone in line behind us, were greatly inconvenienced, & all of it could have been easily avoided. Plus it ended up being long waits for tame rides that weren't worth a 5-minute wait.

Comments about Smart Destinations LEGOLAND California:

We love it! Had a great time. If you prefer less noise and a more family friendly environment, this is the spot. I think it's great that everything is focused on family team building and incorporates some educational elements into the experience. Can't say the same for Disney and the like. I'd highly recommend.

Comments about Smart Destinations LEGOLAND California:

My 12 yr old son was really looking forward to this park, but realized once he got in that it's really geared towards the younger crowd. There are no thrill rides here, just fun rides that the whole family can enjoy. We went when he was 9, and he had a blast on the coasters and looking at the Lego city. He also enjoyed the splash park a lot. There's a separate entry fee to the adjoining water park and aquarium.

Comments about Smart Destinations LEGOLAND California:

On the Go Card, you can't beat getting entry to LEGOLAND with the ability to come back more than 1 day. I recommend 2 days at the park. Upgrade your ticket to the Water Park on a warm day - you won't be sorry, it's a great deal for only [$] per person w/ the Go Card (a $5 savings) and it's brand new, so everything is very clean and really nice. We took our 15 month old baby in the lazy river and he was in his own intertube - there are plenty of lifeguards so it's very safe! The Aquarium is also an upgrade but it's worth every penny especially for small kids. I can't say enough good things about the park and the two new ones (water park and sea life aquarium). What a steal with the Go Card!
