Mingei International Museum

Mingei International Museum is recognized as a place of enlightenment where art speaks eloquently of the similarities and distinctions of individuals and cultures. Dynamic, changing exhibitions feature timeless art of the people from all cultures of the world-historical and contemporary folk art, craft and design. Significantly represented in Mingei International's 18,000-object collection from 140 countries are objects of use from from India, Japan, Indonesia, Mexico and China. There is a large collection representing the continent of Africa, more than 230 pre-Columbian objects with marine animal design motifs, a variety of dolls and toys and a significant collection of contemporary American craft.
