Beware..of the bad drivers

Comments about Smart Destinations Miramar Speed Circuit Race (M-F only):

On day 5 of our five day Go Card, we stopped by Miramar Speed Circuit Race(MSCR) for a friendly family race. We had no problems redeeming the passes. However, I have major concerns with MSCR's safety procedures. I have raced in other venues and its evident that MSCR does not take the necessary precautions for a safe racing experience, in comparison. First, the car staff hastily skims through the safety instructions with the drivers prior to each race. Additionally, there were no safety belts in the cars we were driving. Secondly, the course is poorly designed. The lanes are too narrow and often causing cars racing closely to collide. This was the case during my race where another driver slammed into the side of my car as she was trying to make a sharp turn and swerved into me. I came out a bit shaken but ok. I'd be deeply concerned for young kids racing with the potential of getting severely injured. We won't be returning.

Comments about Smart Destinations Miramar Speed Circuit Race (M-F only):

Our group had alot of fun with the go carts. The only complaint was that it went by to fast. This is a good quick stop along the route and isn't all all day or even half day excursion so you can make other stops before or after.

My two teenage sons got me on the track, my first time in a gokart. Wow, it's addicting! These karts travel up to 40mph and turn on a dime. We had great fun and everyone that worked there was super nice. We went at 4pm on a Wednesday and had the track all to ourselves.
