Description

On the quiet, dusty streets of Old Town San Diego, an out of the way restaurant where the voices of the dead bark military orders amongst the living. A cemetery on the outskirts of a once bustling town, now housing the unquiet dead. These are just a few of the stops on Ghostly Tours in History's newest tour, Old Town Walking Tour.

Take a gentle stroll with us as we bring you the history of San Diego's roots, with a paranormal edge. We will walk past shops that still house ghostly inhabitants. Bring you the stories of festive dining rooms with mischievous children who turn off lights before they disappear. Of course, our tour wouldn't be complete without stopping by The Whaley House for a spell, to spin a couple of yarns of its dark past. Our hour-plus tour runs at 7:00 pm and 8:30 pm. Dress appropriately for the weather...we have enough ghosts on this tour as it is!

Driving:

FROM NORTH COAST: Take I-5 South to the Old Town Exit, and turn left. (East) 2 blocks to San Diego Avenue, and turn left again. (North) San Diego Avenue will dead end at Twiggs Street. The Living Room, Café and Bistro is on the left.

FROM SOUTH COAST: Take I-5 North to the Old Town Exit, and turn right at the signal (East). Go 2 blocks to San Diego Avenue and Turn left. (North) San Diego Avenue will dead end at Twiggs Street. The Living Room, Café and Bistro is on the left.

FROM NORTH EAST: Take the 163 South, 805 South, or 15 South to I-8 West. Take the Taylor Street exit. Go through the light and go back over the freeway. Turn right at the stop sign onto Taylor Street. Go three signals to Juan Street and turn left. Go about two blocks to the first stop sign. (Twiggs Street) Turn right onto Twiggs Street. Left at San Diego Ave. The Living Room, Café and Bistro is on the right.
