The Go San Francisco Card is Your Ticket
The Card gets you in to each and every one of the included attractions. Simply choose how many consecutive days you need. The Card is your ticket to as many of the included attractions as you want for the number of days you selected. The first attraction visited will activate the days purchased on your Card. For instance, a 3-day card activated on a Monday would be valid for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
It is Easy To Use
Every attraction covered by the Go San Francisco Card is ready for your visit. Simply hand the Card to the ticket agent, they will swipe it, hand it back, and let you in. For certain tours, its best to phone in advance to reserve a seat, but otherwise the process is the same.
It Saves You Money
The cost of buying a ticket at each attraction and tour can add up quickly. With the Go San Francisco Card, you pay one price to access all the included attractions. So the savings add up quickly!
Have it Mailed or Pick it Up
We have multiple shipping options to get you your Go San Francisco Card and guidebook before you travel. But if time is tight, simply select "In City Pick-Up" at checkout and it will be waiting for you when you to arrive! You can find directions and a map for our local pick-up locations HERE.
Enjoy the Extras
Customers buy the Go San Francisco Card because it saves them money. But they love the Go San Francisco Card for all the included extras. There is the guidebook to help you plan your days, exclusive restaurant and shopping discounts, and best of all: VIP entry at many attractions that lets you skip the lines.
Each Person Gets Their Own Card
If you are travelling with family or friends, don't worry about a loss of freedom. Each person is free to take their card and use it as they wish - you don't have to stick together if interests or energy levels vary.
What's the Catch?
There isn’t one. The attractions charge us special rates not available to the public. That allows us to price the Go San Francisco Card at a level that saves you money. That’s all there is to it.

Read and plan ahead of time
By Sarah from Joplin, Missouri on 7/25/2010
Pros:
Cheaper than rate price
Cons:
Doesn't include MUNI
Best Uses:
Plan ahead of time Science museum was great
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Smart Destinations Go San Francsico Card:

If you plan ahead of time, you'll get the most value for the card. Alcatraz is not included, so plan your Alcatraz trip either before you start using the card, or after the card has expired. My husband and I honeymooned with this card and had an awesome time! The science museum is amazing and has an aquarium in it that is, in my opinion better than the aquarium that's on Fishermans Wharf.

By DeMillio from Salt Lake City, UT on 7/20/2010

Cons:
Cable car--inconvenient, Bus subway not included
Best Uses:
Red and Gold bay cruise, Alcatraz Six Flags Discovery Kingd Chris's Whale Watching SS Jeremiah O'Brien Aquarium of the Bay Cable car--one-way only
Bottom Line:

Comments about Smart Destinations Go San Francsico Card:

Alcatraz is included, but only if you buy your card(s) from Alcatraz. We went there to purchase the 3-day cards (6 people) and to make reservations for Alcatraz on a future date. The man there was unbelievably rude about the card; treated us like we were stupid, but we had done lots of research and knew we wanted the cards and knew the rules of use. If we hadn't done so much research, his attitude would have changed our minds. I don't understand why we could only buy them thru Alcatraz because it did not cost more to do so. Using the cards was great. The only thing I didn't like was having to find Coffee Adventures to get our cable car tickets. That was very inconvenient. We chose to spend a day down in Monterey for whale watching and exploring that fisherman's wharf, then another day at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom. That meant that we had only one more day to cram in everything else we wanted to do in SF. 5-day cards would have been better for us, except for the money. We did the Golden Gate bay cruise, then tried to get to Golden Gate Park via Muni (city bus). After spending about 1 1/2 hours, we only made it 1/2 way there, so we had to give up. Very disappointed that we were unable to go to California Academy of Sciences. No idea it would be so hard to get there. There was just no way to do it time-wise, since most things close early, and you can't use the cards after 5:30 anyway. Weird because Aquarium of the Bay is open until 8 pm. We had to spend time getting back to where we started because our Alcatraz reservation was that afternoon. On the same day, though, we were able to make it to Alcatraz, Aquarium of the Bay, S.S. Jeremiah O'Brien, and ride the cable car. Wish we hadn't bothered with the cable car after all. All in all, I'm glad we bought the cards, and it was well worth the money. Even though we had our car, I do wish transportation was included. (I don't count the cable car as real transportation as it took forever to wait for a car with any room on it.) SF was supposed to be easily navigable, but we found that the various maps all have flaws, and even our GPS couldn't figure out how to get to some areas. If the card included transportation, that would have been a great help.

Comments about Smart Destinations Go San Francsico Card:

Needs to specify that most attractions can be used more than once. For example I was able to take the double decker trolley tour bus twice but on different days!! And I didnt realize I could ride the cable car each day I tought it was just for one day....

What DIDN'T we do?!...
By Milo from Rochester, NY on 7/9/2010
Pros:
Guide booklet, MuirAlcatraz discount, No waiting lines
Cons:
No transportation, Consecutive days of use, 5pm deadline
Best Uses:
Muir woods, Aquarium, Bike ride over GGBridge Boat tours Alcatraz
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Smart Destinations Go San Francsico Card:

I wasn't sure about this purchase, but I quickly discovered how useful it was. The booklet alone is invaluable. It was my bible during the vacation. We found things to do that we wouldn't have done without it. Our most favorite experience was the bike ride over the Golden Gate Bridge, which I never thought about myself. We had extra time in our day and that was it. Wish there was more restaurant discounts. Not sure the one-way trolley car ticket is useful - we ended up buying a week pass instead (there are 6 of us). Other than that - I've told friends about it since we've been home. I would buy another in a second to visit another city! Looking into NYC or Boston!! Thanks!

Happy Mothers Day
By A Happy Mother & Daughter Verified Reviewer from Redondo Beach, California on 5/20/2010
Pros:
Great family fun, Convenient, Real Learning Experience
Cons:
Time Too Short,
Best Uses:
The Golden Gate Bridge, California Science Academ, Bay Aquarium Tour Bus Cable Car
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Smart Destinations Go San Francsico Card:

This is an awsome tool. Study the booklet. It was so helpful to know what we wanted to do and where we wanted to go in the limited time we had to play in San Francisco. Tis was our first trip, so taking advantage of the many benefits and opportunities available through using the GoCard made for a spectular mothers day weekend. The wide aray of activities listed in the booklet and convenience of use of the card made a short trip even more special. My daughter and I traveled to San Francisco with high expectations of visiting the California Science Academy and Bay Aquarium. Wow! what a bonus. The savings on the admission prices for just these two activities was well worth the time I put into the research and purchase of the GoCard. Wonderful, Wonderful, Wonderful Experience.

By LL from Cleveland, OH on 4/28/2010
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Smart Destinations Go San Francsico Card:

We found this card to be such a value! The wine country tour alone made it worth the price, but we also used it to get the discount for Alcatraz, the red and white fleet bay cruise, the grayline skyview tour, entry to the aquarium, wax museum, deyoung museum, and academy of sciences, and discounts at restaurants! It was so valuable to us to make the most of our time in San Francisco! We got the three day pass.

brought a 5 day pass and saved over $100. Makes you plan your time and research places before your visit. Didn't use for Alcatraz as can only buy tickets on day. When we were there tickets sold out the day before. If we had relied on the go-card we wouldn't have been able to go.

great card value, poor card quality
By LT Verified Reviewer from MN on 1/11/2010
Pros:
Great card value
Cons:
Poor card quality Not easy to use
Best Uses:
Museums Cruises City Tours

Comments about Smart Destinations Go San Francsico Card:

We bought two 3-day go San Francisco Cards in December 2009 for our honeymoon. The Go Cards have great values if you can use it for most of the attractions. Especially the Cruise, the winery tour (if you like tasting wine), city tours, and the museums. For the Muri Wood and 17 miles tours, you can get 40-60% discount, but you still need to pay some of it.However, the quality of the Go Card was poor. The first day we tried to get the cable car tickets, but were told that one of the cards was not working. We spent 20-30 minutes to contact the customer services hotline (because there was only one person working during the Sundays, and unfortunately, we had that problem on Sunday.)to figure out the reason. Then we were directed to go to the Fishermans Wharf, called the customer services number again (another 10-15 minutes waiting), had them fax the info to the local ticket office, and exchanged a new card. It took us almost the whole morning of our first day of trip to deal with this problem. The lady in the local ticket office told us that they had this problem once a while due to the poor quality of the cards, we were not the first ones. Later on during the trip, we experienced some other problems, e.g. at the Aquarium of the bay, our cards can't be read by their machine, and ect. Also, the Go Cards are not very easy to use, unless you stay very close to Fishermans Wharf. You need to use the Go Card to get tickets for almost everything (except the Museums), and almost all the ticket offices are located in Fishermans Wharf.

Smart Destinations Response: We are sorry for trouble. Typically whenever there is a problem with a card not reading correctly we are able to quickly get a new one into the customers hands. We regret this did not happen in your case and are reviewing our procedures to avoid this happening to other customers.
