How it works

What is a Go San Francisco Card?

A Go San Francisco Card is an attraction pass that gets you into 31 San Francisco attractions for one low price.

How does a Go San Francisco Card Work?
  • Just select how many days you want to sightsee — we offer 1, 2, 3, 5, or 7-Day cards.
  • Your Go San Francisco Card grants you admission to all 31 attractions for the number of days you bought the card for.
  • Simply present your pass at included attractions between 9:00am and 5:30pm.
  • Visiting your first attraction activates your card. Then, use it on consecutive calendar days.
How will I receive my pass?

You can choose to receive your pass:

  • Instantly on your smartphone — the most popular choice. Includes a digital guidebook.
  • Instantly print at home — just print it and go. Includes a digital guidebook.
  • Physical Card via Mail. Includes a full-color guidebook.
  • Pick it up at one of our in-city pickup locations.
What else does the pass include?

You'll get a guidebook with detailed attraction descriptions, hours of operation, and a map to help plan your itinerary. Plus extra dining, shopping and entertainment discounts to help you save even more along the way.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are "consecutive calendar days"?

"Consecutive calendar days" are days in a row.

If you have a 3-Day card, and you visit your first attraction on a Monday, your card will be valid on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Start your day early to get the most out of your card!

How do I "activate" my card?

Simply visit your first attraction!

How many days should I buy?

Most travelers visit between 2 and 3 attractions each day depending on individual preference. Our most popular card is the 3-Day card.

Is my card valid all day?

You can enter attractions until 5:30pm with the Go San Francisco Card.

What is your refund policy?

We know sometimes travel plans change, even at the very last minute. That's why, if you don't end up activating and using your pass within a year of the purchase date, we'll give you a full refund. No questions asked.

Here's the best part: unlike our competitors, this built-in cancellation insurance comes with every card purchase — free of charge.

If you have any questions, or if you would like to initiate a refund anytime within 1 year of your purchase, please call our Customer Care Team at 800-887-9103. We'll tell you how you can return your non-activated card or pass.

Please note: Activated passes are non-refundable.

Which delivery method should I choose?
  • Instant delivery is the fastest option. You'll be able to access your Go San Francisco Card from your email or on your phone immediately after you purchase.
With instant delivery you will receive a printable and mobile version of our guidebook.
  • Having your cards shipped in advance will save you time traveling to a pick up location when you get there. Note that transit times vary depending on shipping options. View delivery options.
  • With in-city pickup you can get a physical card and full-color printed guidebook without waiting for shipping. We will email you a voucher which can be redeemed for passes at one of our voucher redemption locations.
Do you ship Go San Francisco Cards to hotels?

Sorry, we cannot ship to hotels because of delivery concerns.

I have a voucher, where can I pick up my card?

View a list of in-city pickup locations where you can redeem your voucher for cards.

Where can I buy the cards in San Francisco?

View a list of sales locations in San Francisco. Note that in-city purchases are available for full price only.

Does a Go San Francisco Card expire?

Yes. You have one year from the date of purchase to begin using your pass. After one year, it will expire.

How much will I save?

We’ve made it easy to compare the combined gate prices with the price of the Go San Francisco Card, to see how much you could save. Try our Savings Calculator!

How many attractions can I visit in one day?

On a Go San Francisco Card, you can visit as many attractions as you want in a day from 9:00am to 5:30pm.

Can I visit an attraction more than once?

In most cases, you can visit each attraction once per day. Some attractions are valid only once during the life of the pass. Please reference your guidebook for specific information on each attraction.

What is the age cut off for child cards?

Child cards are for children ages 3-12. Most attractions do not charge for children under 3 years old. However, there are some exceptions (especially children's museums and attractions geared toward very young travelers). If you have a child under 3 years old, please check with the attraction directly in advance. You may be charged at the gate.

Do I need to make reservations to visit the attractions?

Attractions that require a reservation will display this symbol on the guidebook page.

Some attractions require a credit card to hold a reservation. In these cases, your credit card will not be charged unless you do not show up for your reservation.

What happens if an attraction is closed or a tour is cancelled due to weather or other problem?

While we do our best to ensure that all attractions are available, events happen that are out of our control. The great thing about a Go San Francisco Card is that there are so many attractions to choose from. If an attraction is closed, or cannot be visited for some reason, we know you'll find a fun alternative in your guidebook!

What do I do if my Go San Francisco Card is lost or stolen?

Unfortunately, it cannot be replaced if it is lost or stolen. Please treat the card like cash.

May I use a Go San Francisco Card to visit Alcatraz Island?

If you purchase a 3-day or 5-day Go San Francisco Card directly from Alcatraz Cruises, you may visit Alcatraz Island (subject to reservations and availability). View more Alcatraz information.

What’s the catch?

There’s no catch. Go San Francisco Card has a partnership with all of the participating attractions to make your visit to San Francisco as memorable as possible and to help you save time and money.

Comments about Smart Destinations Go San Francsico Card:

Even you drive and walk non-stop, you won't finish more than 15 items listed on the card. The biggest pity is the walewatching, we didn't notice it takes 2 hours driving to get there, and wasted it, the kids were really upset as walewatching is more interesting than watching the Golden Gate Bridge. Anyway, I will still recommand this card to my friend, as it tells you the best and various places to go with clear visiting information.

Smart Buy
By Vacation Dad from Ontario, CA on
Pros:
Great Value, Great attractions
Best Uses:
Bay Aquarium, Six flags Bay cruise
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Smart Destinations Go San Francsico Card:

We used it at Six Flags and The Bay Aquarium and Bay Cruise at Pier 39. We would have used it at other locations if we had the time. Definitely a money saver as admission to all of these attractions would have totaled more than the cost of the pass. We enjoyed the experience and it was not hard to redeem. For Six Flags, you have to visit the Guest Services booth which had a long line at the time, but one of the managers helped us out right away and we didn't have to wait long. They do not scan the barcode at the gate.

Worth every Penny
By orange4wheeler from Salt Lake City, Utah on
Pros:
Great views, Peaceful Boat Ride, Cost Of Package
Best Uses:
Wine Bus Tour, Boat ride, Aquarium
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Smart Destinations Go San Francsico Card:

If I was to do the 3 things and paid for them seperatly it would have cost me more money than buying the Go Pass. If I would have paid for the Wine Tour by itself it would have been $145.00 and I paid $99.00 for 3 of my choice things to do. I think I did over $250.00 worth of tours with this package. This is a MUST HAVE to save yourself some money!!!

Comments about Smart Destinations Go San Francsico Card:

What a great value when you consider how much you would have to pay for each attraction out of pocket. I would not do it any other way. I did the same in New York. If we required to be picked up near our hotel we were, very well organized and the bus drivers etc were very informative and funny too! It's the only way to go in my opinion!
