How it works

What is a Go San Francisco Card?

A Go San Francisco Card is an attraction pass that gets you into 31 San Francisco attractions for one low price.

How does a Go San Francisco Card Work?
  • Just select how many days you want to sightsee — we offer 1, 2, 3, 5, or 7-Day cards.
  • Your Go San Francisco Card grants you admission to all 31 attractions for the number of days you bought the card for.
  • Simply present your pass at included attractions between 9:00am and 5:30pm.
  • Visiting your first attraction activates your card. Then, use it on consecutive calendar days.
How will I receive my pass?

You can choose to receive your pass:

  • Instantly on your smartphone — the most popular way
  • Via email — just print it and go
  • Via mail
  • Pick it up at one of our in-city pickup locations.
What else does the pass include?

You'll get a guidebook with detailed attraction descriptions, hours of operation, and a map to help plan your itinerary. Plus extra dining, shopping and entertainment discounts to help you save even more along the way.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are "consecutive calendar days"?

"Consecutive calendar days" are days in a row.

If you have a 3-Day card, and you visit your first attraction on a Monday, your card will be valid on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Start your day early to get the most out of your card!

How do I "activate" my card?

Simply visit your first attraction!

How many days should I buy?

Most travelers visit between 2 and 3 attractions each day depending on individual preference. Our most popular card is the 3-Day card.

Is my card valid all day?

You can enter attractions until 5:30pm with the Go San Francisco Card.

What is your refund policy?

We know sometimes travel plans change, even at the very last minute. That's why, if you don't end up activating and using your pass within a year of the purchase date, we'll give you a full refund. No questions asked.

Here's the best part: unlike our competitors, this built-in cancellation insurance comes with every card purchase — free of charge.

If you have any questions, or if you would like to initiate a refund anytime within 1 year of your purchase, please call our Customer Care Team at 800-887-9103. We'll tell you how you can return your non-activated card or pass.

Please note: Activated passes are non-refundable.

What delivery method should I choose?
  • Instant delivery is the fastest option. You'll be able to access your Go San Francisco Card from your email or on your phone immediately after you purchase.
With instant delivery you will receive a printable and mobile version of our guidebook.
  • Having your cards shipped in advance will save you time traveling to a pick up location when you get there. Note that transit times vary depending on shipping options. View delivery options.
  • With in-city pickup you can get a physical card and full-color printed guidebook without waiting for shipping. We will email you a voucher which can be redeemed for passes at one of our voucher redemption locations.
Do you ship Go San Francisco Cards to hotels?

Sorry, we cannot ship to hotels because of delivery concerns.

I have a voucher, where can I pick up my card?

View a list of in-city pickup locations where you can redeem your voucher for cards.

Where can I buy the cards in San Francisco?

View a list of sales locations in San Francisco. Note that in-city purchases are available for full price only.

Does a Go San Francisco Card expire?

Yes. You have one year from the date of purchase to begin using your pass. After one year, it will expire.

How much will I save?

We’ve made it easy to compare the combined gate prices with the price of the Go San Francisco Card, to see how much you could save. Try our Savings Calculator!

How many attractions can I visit in one day?

On a Go San Francisco Card, you can visit as many attractions as you want in a day from 9:00am-5:30pm.

Can I visit an attraction more than once?

In most cases, you can visit each attraction once per day. Some attractions are valid only once during the life of the pass. Please reference your guidebook for specific information on each attraction.

What is the age cut off for child cards?

Child cards are for children ages 3-12. Most attractions do not charge for children under 3 years old. However, there are some exceptions (especially children's museums and attractions geared toward very young travelers). If you have a child under 3 years old, please check with the attraction directly in advance. You may be charged at the gate.

Do I need to make reservations to visit the attractions?

Attractions that require a reservation will display this symbol on the guidebook page.

Some attractions require a credit card to hold a reservation. In these cases, your credit card will not be charged unless you do not show up for your reservation.

What happens if an attraction is closed or a tour is cancelled due to weather or other problem?

While we do our best to ensure that all attractions are available, events happen that are out of our control. The great thing about a Go San Francisco Card is that there are so many attractions to choose from. If an attraction is closed, or cannot be visited for some reason, we know you'll find a fun alternative in your guidebook!

What do I do if my Go San Francisco Card is lost or stolen?

Unfortunately, it cannot be replaced if it is lost or stolen. Please treat the card like cash.

May I use a Go San Francisco Card to visit Alcatraz Island?

If you purchase a 3-day or 5-day Go San Francisco Card directly from Alcatraz Cruises, you may visit Alcatraz Island (subject to reservations and availability). View more Alcatraz information.

What’s the catch?

There’s no catch. Go San Francisco Card has a partnership with all of the participating attractions to make your visit to San Francisco as memorable as possible and to help you save time and money.

Comments about Smart Destinations Go San Francsico Card:

I'd highly recommend the Go San Francisco Card. We used the card everyday of our vacation and we saved hundreds of dollars. The card gave me peace of mind knowing that we could do almost every tourist activity in San Francisco and it would be included with the Go Card or the admission would be half price. The only tickets I paid for outside the Go card was Alcatraz.

Comments about Smart Destinations Go San Francsico Card:

Simply amazing! The San Francisco GoCard made visiting the City a wonderful experience. My wife and I had tons to do over the 3 days that we used the card. Our favorite activity was the bike rentals, we calculated that we rode well over 15 miles on the bikes. We were able to ride over the bridge, return and visit the Legion of Honor and the de Young Museum before making the loop back to the bike shop. Great value- tons to do, will buy another GoCard for other cities. (Review by John B. transferred by admin)

Comments about Smart Destinations Go San Francsico Card:

Just wanted to let you know that my girlfriend and I just returned from a weekend in San Francisco where we used the 3-Day GoCard. We had a little trouble doing the Alcatraz attraction (it took us two tries--and on the second try, we had to check out of our hotel early to get there near 8am), but outside of that, we found good value in using your card. We had used your 'Seattle' card in the past, so we knew this was a good value. However, combining the attractions and discounts, we got over twice the value of the card in San Francisco when it was all done. Thank you again. (Customer review transferred by admin

I am a repeat customer of the "Go Cards", having used and enjoyed them in Boston, San Diego, and San Francisco. Additionally, I recommended the card to friends that just traveled to San Diego and they also thoroughly enjoyed them. (Review by Daniel K. transferred by admin)

Fun Filled Trip to San Fran

Sight seeing,
Bottom Line:

Comments about Smart Destinations Go San Francsico Card:

A friend and I visited San Francisco and neither of us had been there before. Our Go Cards helped us save money while seeing tons of sights and doing activities we may not have done otherwise. The range of activities available to us on our Go Card was so broad that we were able to fit lots of various fun into a short trip. We went to Yosemite, wine country, and took trolley, cable car, and bay cruises to familiarize ourselves with the city. My favorite thing was riding bikes over the Golden Gate bridge! Go Cards made sight seeing a breeze with little planning.

Comments about Smart Destinations Go San Francsico Card:

I wanted to let you know that our vacation went without a hitch! I purchased 3 day go cards for San Diego, San Francisco, and Los Angeles for our family of 4. We used the guidebooks and maps to outline each of our days and had a blast. The cost of our cards were [$]. If we paid the admissions for each place we went, the cost would have been [$]. We saved over $1,100 and went to places we would not have gone. Our vacation was amazing! Thanks so much!(Review by Jennifer R. transferred by admin)
