Cartoon Art Museum

Explore the fascinating history of cartoon art at one of the only museums in the United States dedicated to the preservation, documentation, and exhibition of cartoons in all their forms.

Founded in 1984 with the help of an endowment from Peanuts creator Charles M. Schulz, the Cartoon Art Museum houses over 6,000 original pieces by some of the most renowned and creative cartoonists of the 20th century.

The Museum presents permanent and changing exhibits every year that trace the evolution of this unique and accessible art form, including animation, comic strips, comic books, editorial and magazine cartoons, and underground comics. Cartoons are serious art, and the Cartoon Art Museum is serious fun.
