Chinese Historical Society
San Francisco is home to the largest Chinese enclave outside of Asia. The Chinese Historical Society of America is one of the oldest and largest organizations dedicated to the study, documentation and dissemination of Chinese-American History. The main gallery features an annotated history of Chinese Americans in the US, focusing on the years after the Gold Rush, through the 19th and 20th centuries, up to recent events. Exhibits are bilingual.
