Description

With the opening of its new building on June 8, 2008, the Contemporary Jewish Museum ushered in a new chapter in its 20-plus year history of engaging audiences and artists in exploring contemporary perspectives on Jewish culture, history, art, and ideas. The new facility, designed by internationally renowned architect Daniel Libeskind, is a lively center where people of all ages and backgrounds can gather to experience art, share diverse perspectives, and engage in hands-on activities.

Upcoming 2010 Exhibits: Jews on Vinyl (through Spring 2010), As It Is Written: Project 304,805 (through Oct. 3, 2010), Our Struggle: Responding to Mein Kampf (Feb. 11–June 8, 2010), StoryCorps: Storybooth (through Nov. 7, 2010), Reinventing Ritual (April 22–Oct. 3, 2010), Maira Kalman: Various Illuminations (of a Crazy World) (July 1–Oct. 26, 2010), Reclaimed: Paintings from the Collection of Jacques Goudstikker (Oct. 28 2010–March 11, 2011).
