For a groovy good time in the City by the Bay, the Magic Bus Tour in San Francisco is way more than just a sightseeing tour - it’s a trip!
The two-hour tour transports passengers to San Francisco in the 1960s and brings them back to the days of the Beatnik generation. During the fun-filled historical city tour, riders will see what Haight-Ashbury was like in the Summer of Love and visit San Francisco’s Chinatown. Watch as the landmarks and secrets of the city’s iconic neighborhoods come alive before your eyes with the help of retractable projection screens that will cover the windows from time to time.
During the Magic Bus Tour, passengers should expect to see Chinatown, North Beach, Haight-Ashbury and Golden Gate Park, experience the era of Hippies, Beatniks and Rock n’ Roll, and learn about the music and cultural movements of the 1960s. You will take the trip aboard a colorful musical bus, so singing along with classic tunes with flowers in your hair is strongly encouraged!
The Magic Bus Tour will pass City Lights bookstore - an establishment where Jack Kerouac hung out that also published many famous Beat-generation poems - and also travels through San Francisco’s Financial District and central Market Street. The tour will also pull in at the Conservatory of Flowers.
Brought to the public by Chris Hardman of the Antenna Theater and Jens-Peter Jungclaussen of TeacherBus, the Magic Bus Tour is a unique way to see one of America’s most fascinating cities - and have fun while doing it!
