Description

The Napa Valley Museum is dedicated to the culture and environmental heritage of the valley. In addition to its permanent exhibit The Land and People of Napa Valley, the museum presents a diverse range of changing exhibits from fine arts to history to natural sciences. Witness the history and traditions of this wondrous region that celebrates nature, culture, history, and art at Napa Valley’s only regional museum. The Napa Valley Museum features changing and permanent exhibits on art and history of Northern California, including dioramas and artifacts from Chinese settlements, Mexican Ranchos, Wappo Native Americans, Pioneers, Women’s History, Mexican culture and craft, viticulture and geology of the Napa Valley. Opening summer 2009, watch for our expanded history gallery featuring interactive displays for children, hands-on activities and educational programs that allow children and adults to explore the varied culture and geology of the region. Our gift shop carries unique items created by artists featured in current and past art exhibits, jewelry, historic books, posters, cards and souvenirs.

Driving:

Highway 29 to the Yountville/Veterans Home Exit. Turn Left onto the tree-lined drive toward the Veterans Home Grounds. Turn Right at Presidents Circle and the museum will be directly to your right.
