The Napa Valley Museum is dedicated to preserving the culture, history and art of the Napa Valley. The upstairs gallery features changing art exhibitions. The downstairs gallery provides visitors with an overview of the history of the Napa Valley through dioramas and artifacts depicting the early development of the people and rich heritage that is unique to the region.
Visitors can walk through time beginning with the early land formation and Wappo Native Americans and continuing with Chinese immigrants, Mexican Ranchos, Pioneers, Mining, area industry, the role of the Napa River on the valley’s development and Viticulture.
Also featured is a painting of 37 early Napa Valley vintners and vintage winemaking equipment. Our gift shop carries unique items created by local artists and art from past exhibitions, jewelry, books, posters and souvenirs.
