Seymour Marine Discovery Center

Perched on the ocean bluff, the Seymour Marine Discovery Center at Long Marine Lab is a stunning public facility dedicated to ocean science and conservation. Aquarium and exhibits feature the everyday tools of ocean exploration and focus on research conducted by scientists on site and around the world.

Daily tours, hands-on programs/touch tank, and spectacular views available every day! Come learn about the types of questions scientists ask and get a glimpse of the processes that generate insights and understanding. The goal is to instill in visitors a lasting appreciation of the role science plays in understanding and protecting the world's oceans.

The Seymour Center is part of the University of California, Santa Cruz’s Marine Science Campus.
