The Childrens Creativity Museum is a fantastic place for hands-on, multimedia arts and technology experiences for your little ones! It is founded on the principles of the “3Cs of 21st-Century literacy: Creativity, Collaboration, and Communication.”
The mission is to inspire the next generation to think creatively and act as global citizens. The Museum features animation, digital arts, special effects, music videos, and workshop activities to keep young citizens learning and engaged as they do what children do best…have fun! Here’s a preview of the exhibits at the Childrens Creativity Museum:
Animators Studio: A great place for movie lovers to find out what it’s like to make your own! Children can pick their favorite character or dream up their own, and build using wire and clay. Next, they choose a scene and film their movie using a video camera and computer…you can even take it home on DVD!
Music Production Lab: In this interactive exhibit, children can produce and star in their own music video—also available to take home! Choose a tune, select a costume, perform on stage, or work behind the scenes to control the camera and digital background! Kids can choose from over 2,000 songs in multiple genres.
Digital Workshop: A place for aspiring artists and computer wizards to let their imaginations run wild as they use an iMac to manipulate photos, design illustrations, and combine photos, text, and symbols to create a digital masterpiece!
Studio Z: See yourself in a new light with music and visual effects on a touch screen computer that let you dance and create your own music video!
Main Gallery: The museum features a special place just for Toddlers! Lil Z’s Toddlers Area in the Main Gallery lets tots kick off their shoes and run on soft mats, using soft blocks to build make-believe structures! There’s also a Zig-a-Zag tunnel, costumes for dress-up, a puppet theater, Colorforms Wall, and DUPLO blocks!
Discover what your child is capable of at Childrens Creativity Museum! You might find a hidden talent and come home with some great keepsakes in the form of art, music, dance, and other colorful creations!

Comments about Smart Destinations Zeum: San Franciscos Childrens Museum and Carousel:
What a special place for creative children. I would say that your child has to be at least 5 years of age to truly appreciate it though. The claymation studio is interesting even for adults and the docents are patient and warm. When your little one gets tired of the Museum, they can run around the playground or ride the carousel. The carousel is actually very nice and large.
