How it works

What do you mean by "consecutive calendar days"?

"Consecutive calendar days" are days in a row, on a calendar. A calendar day is not a 24-hour period.

For example, if you have a 3-Day Go San Diego Card and visit your first attraction on a Monday evening, it is valid for the remainder of Monday (1st calendar day) and the two days immediately following it: Tuesday (2nd calendar day), and Wednesday (3rd calendar day).

Tip: to get the most out of your pass, plan to visit attractions early in the day.

How do I "activate" my card?

Simply visit your first attraction!

How many days should I buy?

Most travelers visit between 2 and 3 attractions each day depending on individual preference. Our most popular card is the 5-Day card.

Is my card valid all day?

You can enter attractions any time with the Go San Diego Card.

What is your refund policy?

We know sometimes travel plans change, even at the very last minute. That's why, if you don't end up activating and using your pass within a year of the purchase date, we'll give you a full refund. No questions asked.

Here's the best part: unlike our competitors, this built-in cancellation insurance comes with every card purchase — free of charge.

If you have any questions, or if you would like to initiate a refund anytime within 1 year of your purchase, please call our Customer Care Team at 800-887-9103. We'll tell you how you can return your non-activated card or pass.

Please note: Activated passes are non-refundable.

Which delivery method should I choose?

Instant delivery is the fastest and most popular option. You'll be able to access your Go San Diego Card from your email or on your phone immediately after you purchase. It also includes some added valued Skip the Line features at various attractions.

With instant delivery you will receive a printable and mobile version of our guidebook.

Having a physical card shipped in advance will save you time traveling to a pick up location when you get there. Note that transit times vary depending on shipping options. View delivery options. With shipped physical cards, you will get a full color printed guidebook but won’t get access to added value Skip the Line features that come with the digital delivery.

Do you ship Go San Diego Cards to hotels?

Sorry, we cannot ship to hotels because of delivery concerns.

Where can I buy the cards in San Diego?

View a list of purchase locations in San Diego. Note that in-city purchases are available for full price only.

Does a Go San Diego Card expire?

Yes. You have one year from the date of purchase to begin using your pass. After one year, it will expire.

How much will I save?

Compare the price of the pass to the gate prices of the attractions you want to visit to see how much you can save. Many customers save more than 50%.

We give you the flexibility to create your own itinerary and choose the attractions you want to visit depending on your interests.

For inspiration, check out some of our sample itineraries, insider tips, and more for info on all the fun things to do in San Diego so you can make the most of your time here.

How many attractions can I visit in one day?

On a Go San Diego Card, you can visit as many attractions as you want in a day.

Can I visit an attraction more than once?

In most cases, you can visit each attraction once per day. Some attractions are valid only once during the life of the pass. Please reference your guidebook for specific information on each attraction.

What is the age cut off for child cards?

Child cards are for children ages 3-12. Most attractions do not charge for children under 3 years old. However, there are some exceptions (especially children's museums and attractions geared toward very young travelers). If you have a child under 3 years old, please check with the attraction directly in advance. You may be charged at the gate.

Do I need to make reservations to visit the attractions?

Attractions that require a reservation will display this symbol on the guidebook page.

Some attractions require a credit card to hold a reservation. In these cases, your credit card will not be charged unless you do not show up for your reservation.

What’s the catch?

There’s no catch. Go San Diego Card has a partnership with all of the participating attractions to make your visit to San Diego as memorable as possible and to help you save time and money.

Can I share my pass with a friend or sell it?

No. The Go San Diego Card is non-transferrable and may not be re-sold.

What happens if an attraction is closed or a tour is cancelled due to weather or other problem?

While we do our best to ensure that all attractions are available, events happen that are out of our control. The great thing about a Go San Diego Card is that there are so many attractions to choose from. If an attraction is closed, or cannot be visited for some reason, we know you'll find a fun alternative in your guidebook!

What do I do if my Go San Diego Card is lost or stolen?

Unfortunately, it cannot be replaced if it is lost or stolen. Please treat the card like cash.

I still have questions!

Please feel free to call us at 866‑628‑9032 and we’ll be happy to help you!

Comments about Smart Destinations Go San Diego Card:

My boyfriend and I were given the the 2-day Go-Card as a gift for a weekend trip to San Diego. The guide book was a great resource in helping us choose which attractions we wanted to see. Vendors recognized the Go-Card immediately and were happy to accept it. We noticed that many other tourists were using it as well. We enjoyed the variety of services and discounts available. From transportation, to free admission into museums and other attractions, to discounts on water sports and food, we were able to pack a lot of activities and savings into a two day period. We will definitely purchase Go-Cards in other cities in the future!

Comments about Smart Destinations Go San Diego Card:

We went to San Diego for a limited time and wanted to fit in as many activities as possible, so the 5 day Go Card was perfect for us. We managed to Go to LegoLand, Safari Park, SD Zoo, SeaWorld, and Balboa Park. Do the math and you can see we saved a lot of money. At one place one of the cards wouldn't scan ,but we called the # and it was working right away. We would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to Do it All.

The San Diego Go Card was great for our family. However, it would be better if the number of days purchased did not have to be used on consecutive days.

Comments about Smart Destinations Go San Diego Card:

What an amazing week! We opted for the 5 day pass and were blown away at how easy the Go San Diego Card was to use. We were able to enjoy a full day at Sea World, San Diego Zoo, LEGOLAND and Knotts Berry Farm. Our final day we spent on a boat tour of the bay, visiting the museums and finished off with Miramar Go Kart track. Our boys were able to choose what they wanted to do each day and they loved it!

Comments about Smart Destinations Go San Diego Card:

In June of 2015 I researched & planned a 3 day trip to Southern California for my son & I. He wanted to go to LegoLand, and I needed to fill in the time (LegoLand is a 3/4 day kinda park). I'am a AAA member & in most cases they are very helpful in vacation planning. After doing my own research then stumbling across the SanDiegoGOcard I decided that was the way to go!!! We did LegoLand, Seaworld, SafariPark, Belmont Park, PetCoPark tour, MiramarKart racing...etc, etc, etc. Too much to really add. I had a pretty solid itinerary but after my son looked at the online/phone friendly travel guide he wanted to do much more that was included. Luckily we were able to do everything...note to anyone wanting to use the SDGOcard, it's a good product & although I get weiry of cell phone technology the phone app was excellent & convenient. It does take a lil planning & I would advise reading the descriptions & fine print because some attractions do have limitations. Furthermore, if you are planning a distant attraction I would advise double-checking on hours of operation. We went from SD to Miramar for the Kart racing & the hours of operation were different but on our way there we passed an outdoor "plane museum" which was FREE & we were able to fill in the waiting time there. Overall, we had a blast!!! My next excursion I will definitely check & see if a GOcard is available.

Comments about Smart Destinations Go San Diego Card:

My family of 6 took our first vacation to San Diego and purchased the go-city pass to save some money because it included everything we were wanting to do plus much, much more. I was VERY happy with this card, I could just pull up our passes on my phone and we were able to by pass the ticket lines everywhere we went except Legoland (which I don't blame on the fo city card, Legoland just needs to update to the digital era!) I would highly, highly, HIGHLY recommend this card to anyone traveling to San Diego, especially if you have children. There were so many amazing attractions included, we had so much fun thanks to this card and saved a lot of money as well!
