How it works

What are "consecutive calendar days"?

"Consecutive calendar days" are days in a row.

If you have a 3-Day card, and you visit your first attraction on a Monday, your card will be valid on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Start your day early to get the most out of your card!

How do I "activate" my card?

Simply visit your first attraction!

How many days should I buy?

Most travelers visit between 2 and 3 attractions each day depending on individual preference. Our most popular card is the 5-Day card.

Is my card valid all day?

You can enter attractions any time with the Go San Diego Card.

What is your refund policy?

We know sometimes travel plans change, even at the very last minute. That's why, if you don't end up activating and using your pass within a year of the purchase date, we'll give you a full refund. No questions asked.

Here's the best part: unlike our competitors, this built-in cancellation insurance comes with every card purchase — free of charge.

If you have any questions, or if you would like to initiate a refund anytime within 1 year of your purchase, please call our Customer Care Team at 800-887-9103. We'll tell you how you can return your non-activated card or pass.

Please note: Activated passes are non-refundable.

Which delivery method should I choose?

Instant delivery is the fastest and most popular option. You'll be able to access your Go San Diego Card from your email or on your phone immediately after you purchase. It also includes some added valued Skip the Line features at various attractions.

With instant delivery you will receive a printable and mobile version of our guidebook.

Having a physical card shipped in advance will save you time traveling to a pick up location when you get there. Note that transit times vary depending on shipping options. View delivery options. With shipped physical cards, you will get a full color printed guidebook but won’t get access to added value Skip the Line features that come with the digital delivery.

Do you ship Go San Diego Cards to hotels?

Sorry, we cannot ship to hotels because of delivery concerns.

I have a voucher, where can I pick up my card?

View a list of in-city pickup locations where you can redeem your voucher for cards.

Where can I buy the cards in San Diego?

View a list of purchase locations in San Diego. Note that in-city purchases are available for full price only.

Does a Go San Diego Card expire?

Yes. You have one year from the date of purchase to begin using your pass. After one year, it will expire.

How much will I save?

Compare the price of the pass to the gate prices of the attractions you want to visit to see how much you can save. Many customers save more than 50%.

How many attractions can I visit in one day?

On a Go San Diego Card, you can visit as many attractions as you want in a day.

Can I visit an attraction more than once?

In most cases, you can visit each attraction once per day. Some attractions are valid only once during the life of the pass. Please reference your guidebook for specific information on each attraction.

What is the age cut off for child cards?

Child cards are for children ages 3-12. Most attractions do not charge for children under 3 years old. However, there are some exceptions (especially children's museums and attractions geared toward very young travelers). If you have a child under 3 years old, please check with the attraction directly in advance. You may be charged at the gate.

Do I need to make reservations to visit the attractions?

Attractions that require a reservation will display this symbol on the guidebook page.

Some attractions require a credit card to hold a reservation. In these cases, your credit card will not be charged unless you do not show up for your reservation.

What’s the catch?

There’s no catch. Go San Diego Card has a partnership with all of the participating attractions to make your visit to San Diego as memorable as possible and to help you save time and money.

Can I share my pass with a friend or sell it?

No. A Go San Diego Card is non-transferrable and may not be re-sold.

What happens if an attraction is closed or a tour is cancelled due to weather or other problem?

While we do our best to ensure that all attractions are available, events happen that are out of our control. The great thing about a Go San Diego Card is that there are so many attractions to choose from. If an attraction is closed, or cannot be visited for some reason, we know you'll find a fun alternative in your guidebook!

What do I do if my Go San Diego Card is lost or stolen?

Unfortunately, it cannot be replaced if it is lost or stolen. Please treat the card like cash.

I still have questions!

Please feel free to call us at 866‑628‑9032 and we’ll be happy to help you!

Comments about Smart Destinations Go San Diego Card:

We crammed about 7 gallerys, San Diego Zoo, Midway Carrier and Whale watching in a weekend. Here is how we did it, day 1: took a cab to San Diego Zoo for about 3-4 hours in the morning. Then get lunch and then hit the four galleries (30 mins in each gallery) in Balboa Park and the Japanese friendship park (30 minutes) and the automotive museum (30 mins) and air and space museum (30 mins), then took a cab back. day 2: Whale watching in the morning (entire morning), then Midway Carrier Museum (90 mins), then one last museum (20 mins). It was a pretty good deal for two days.

We bought a five day pass for our family of 4. We went to: Safari Park San Diego Zoo Sea World Lego Land Whale Watching Tour Kayaking Ferry Ride The only down side is we missed some activities because the pass was not good after 5:00 even though the attractions were open.

Comments about Smart Destinations Go San Diego Card:

Getting the Go San Diego pass on our family vacation was a great idea. We were able to visit all the attractions we planned on attending, plus some we didn't plan on attending due to scheduling changes. It was nice to adjust our schedule on the fly and not have to worry about our itinerary. And we went to so many different places that the cost savings was huge. It was also nice to have the pass on my smart phone. The only minor downside is that many of the attractions and theme parks still require you to stand in line to get their admission tickets; only at SeaWorld were we able to present the Go pass at the gate and gain admission without waiting in line. But most lines moved quickly and that wasn't a hassle. Overall, I highly recommend getting this.

I used GoCard for the first time and since I like to see as much as possible Im a bit anoyed that the last entrance is at 5 pm. Els the card is a real money saver and since it was included I did see a couple of things I normally wouldn't see (like LEGOland (best for children in the age of 4-12)
