Description

Seattle Bug Safari is a live bug zoo and specialty gift shop where kids of all ages can experience the exotic, behind-the-scenes world of insects. Get close to a large collection of insect, arachnid, millipede and centipede species all live and on display in our main display area and our working laboratory. See the Goliath Bird Eater Tarantula, the world's largest species of tarantula that can grow as large as 12 inches across. Interact with Safari Guides, and see other GIANT creatures from Africa, Asia, Australia, and South America inside our uniquely designed 'Safari' facility. Purchase insect-oriented gifts inside our more than average souvenir shop. Featuring an extensive collection of framed specimens & supplies, books & posters, gifts & toys, live kits and more to enrich and extend your knowledge. Store open during regular zoo hours, admission not required to browse or crawl around.

Driving:

The Seattle Bug Safari is located on the third level of the Pike Street Hill Climb between the Seattle Aquarium and the Pike Place Market. The bottom of the Hill Climb is a set of stairs located across from the Seattle Aquarium where Pike Street and Alaskan Way intersect. The top of the Hill Climb is located at the bottom of the Pike Place Market and Western Ave. The Seattle Bug Safari is located in the middle of the Hill Climb.
