While the Irish-American demographic isn’t ample in Miami, the city with the most residents born out side of the country it resides in can relate to the plight of Irish immigrants. More importantly, the people of Miami know how to party, and although the parades took place last weekend, the center of Southern Florida boasts an abundance of St. Patrick’s Day events.
Before you throw on your requisite green t-shirt and totally Americanized St. Patty’s Day garb, check out the top Miami attractions and events this weekend.
John Martin’s St. Patrick’s Day with the Irish

On Sunday, March 16th or Monday, March 17th treat yourself to an authentic and delicious Irish meal from John Martin’s special St. Patrick’s Day themed menu, featuring beer-battered fish and chips, tasty bangers and mash with onion gravy, corned beef sandwiches, and a traditional beef and Guiness stew. “Walk, Waggle and Stroll” Dog Walk at Shops at Midtown Miami
This may be the only St. Patrick’s Day event your canine friends are invited to attend! The March 16th event, held from 9 AM to 12 PM, raises awareness for the blind community while celebrating the guide dogs and service animals that make their lives a little easier. Regular pets can join the ranks as well, marching with their owners through the Shop at Midtown Miami. Highlights of the day include the “Bagel & Bone” breakfast, a leisurely walk, talent and costume contests, goodie bags, and music from the Lighthouse Better Chance Music Production Company. With the purchase of a $30 registration ticket, you can walk with or without a dog.
Fadó Irish Pub 2-Day St. Patrick’s Day Festival
Kick off St. Patrick’s Day early with the “St. Practice Day” Festival on Sunday, March 16th at Fado Irish Pub! The pre-St. Paddy’s Day bash is pretty epic for a practice run, featuring two DJs, and multiple beer gardens from 2 PM to 11 PM.
The real thing starts at 2 PM on Monday, March 17th. However, before the outdoor festival, Fado’s is opening their doors at 7 AM to carry on the annual “Kegs and Eggs” breakfast buffet with beer. The outdoor festival, held in Mary Brickell Village’s front and back courtyards, showcases two massive DJ stages (one for the front and one for the back), multiple beer gardens, full bars, Irish dancers, and the biggest St. Paddy’s Day assemblage in Miami.
Both “Practice Day” and the St. Patrick’s Day Festival offer free admission!
