Special exhibits free with paid admission. Featured in the Meijer Gallery is the temporary exhibit, Bob Dylan: Electric, celebrating the songwriting, poetry and prose of Dylan. Featuring handwritten lyrics, personal artifacts and the guitar he played at the 1965 Newport Folk Festival, see Dylan the writer like you've never seen him before. In the Roberta Rubin Writer's Room, Frederick Douglass: Agitator honors the incomparable work and enduring legacy of Douglass, who taught himself how to read and write, escaped from slavery, and used his fiery words and rousing speeches to push for social justice.

From the West: Take I-290 E to the W. Congress Parkway. Turn left on S. Dearborn St. Turn right on Lake Street. Turn right onto N. Michigan Ave. The museum is immediately on the right. See below for various parking options in the area.
The AWM is easily accessible via public transit. CTA busses 2, 3, 4, 6, 26, 60, 124, 143, 146, 147, 148, and 151 have stops nearby. State & Lake and Randolph & Wabash CTA ‘L’ stations are within 2 blocks of the Museum and the Metra Millennium Station is one block south.
