Located on Navy Pier, the Chicago Children’s Museum is the perfect educational destination for kids and their families. Filled with awesome, interactive exhibits, hands-on programs, and free daily art classes, the Chicago Children’s Museum is the ideal kid-friendly attraction. Each exhibit at the Chicago Children’s Museum provides kids with a different learning experience. Featured exhibits include: the “Play it Safe exhibit, which offers kids the chance to explore a realistic firehouse; “Dinosaur Expedition,” which allows kids to explore the excavation pit where the fossils of Suchomimus – a giant fish-eating dinosaur – were discovered in 1997; and “Tinkering Lab”, a DIY maker-space that lets kids have the freedom to innovate and explore using real tools and materials.

Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. All holiday hours are subject to change without notice. On rare occasions this attraction closes early due to private functions outside of the control of Smart Destinations.
All children 12 months and over must have a Pass or pay admission.
Note: Chicago Children's Museum will be closed Tuesday, September 5 - Friday September, 8 for annual maintenance and cleaning.
