Marine Life Frequently Spotted:
- June-October: endangered blue whales can often be seen feeding off the coast of LA during feeding season
- November-May: gray whales migrate past Southern California’s coastline as they travel from Alaska to Baja, Mexico
- Whales spotted regularly year round: killer (orca) whales, humpback whales, fin whales, minke whales, and sperm whales can be seen engaging in lunge feeding, breaching, fluking, and more.
- Other marine life spotted regularly: common, bottlenose, and pacific white sided dolphins, California sea lions, harbor seals, porpoises, and more.
