This half-hour Dolby Theatre Tour is your VIP access to the home of the Academy Awards® Ceremonies. Step inside and revel in the elegance of this state of the art facility.
Inspired by the elegance of a European opera house, with state-of-the-art technical capabilities, the Dolby Theatre has hosted the world's top performers. Celine Dion, Prince, Dixie Chicks, American Ballet Theatre, Barry Manilow and the Moscow Stanislavsky Ballet have all performed on this stage!
The center of the five-level Dolby Theatre is a grandiose spiral staircase with cherrywood balustrades, standing beneath an impressive silvery dome. As you take your Dolby Theatre Tour, you will learn more about the design elements of the lobby and where inspiration was taken.
Twenty-six images of famous Oscar winners, including Jack Nicholson, Marlon Brando, Julia Roberts, and Grace Kelly are permanently displayed across four lobby levels.
Your Dolby Theatre Tour will take you into the audience chamber, which is graced by a silver leafed tiara. The chamber was designed to achieve an intimacy between the audience and performers, drawing attention to the action onstage. Sumptuous details, such as cherrywood finishes and deep plum upholstery, add to the glamour of this spectacular venue.
The Dolby Theatre Tour will also give you a behind the scenes look of other popular events, including: the American Idol finals, the AFI Awards, the daytime Emmies, Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, live concerts, cultural festivals, family shows and musicals.
