9/11 Memorial & Museum tickets
The 9/11 Memorial & Museum, located at the World Trade Center site, bears solemn witness to the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 and February 26, 1993. The Memorial and Museum honor the nearly 3,000 victims of these attacks and all those who risked their lives to save others.
The New York Explorer Pass is the best choice for maximum savings and flexibility.
At the 9/11 Memorial, visitors will encounter the Memorial’s twin reflecting pools that are each nearly an acre in size and feature the largest manmade waterfalls in North America. The pools sit within the footprints where the Twin Towers once stood. The names of every person who died in the 2001 and 1993 attacks are inscribed into the bronze panels edging the Memorial pools.
Inside the 9/11 Memorial Museum’s 110,000 square feet of exhibition space, visitors will experience the story of 9/11 through multimedia displays, archives, narratives and a collection of monumental and authentic artifacts. 9/11 Memorial Museum highlights include:
- Historical Exhibition: an exhibition that presents the story of 9/11 in three parts: the events of the day, the events leading up to the attacks and the world after 9/11.
- Memorial Exhibition: an exhibition that commemorates the lives of those who perished on September 11, 2001, and February 26, 1993.
- Rendering the Unthinkable: Artists Respond to 9/11: an exhibition of artwork by 13 artists and their reactions to the terror attacks. Ranging in media from paintings and sculpture to works on paper and video, these pieces will be displayed together for the first time in the 9/11 Memorial Museum.
- Cover Stories: an exhibition of 33 covers from The New Yorker that explores how the weekly magazine depicted the Twin Towers on cover illustrations before and after 9/11.
