Your flight journey beings at Linden Airport, in Linden, NJ, where you’ll board one of the 7-passenger high visibility Airbus EC130T2 helicopters or a 6-seat Bell 407 helicopter before taking flight towards Manhattan.
Flight path & sights you’ll see along the way:
You’ll get a bird’s-eye-view of the illuminated Statue of Liberty and skyscrapers in the financial district, where the New York Stock Exchange is.
Next, you’ll fly along the East River and pass over the famous Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Williamsburg Bridges and get unbeatable views of the Empire State Building, United Nations Headquarters, and the Chrysler Building. In the distance, you can see the Billy Jean King US Tennis Center, Citi Field, and LaGuardia Airport.
As you fly over Manhattan, you’ll have great views of Central Park, Rockefeller Center, and all the Times Square lights and billboards.
After you pass Columbus Circle, your flight will take you down the Hudson River, saving the best view of the city for last. As you fly along the Hudson, you’ll get another view of the Empire State Building, Madison Square Garden, Hudson Yards, Chelsea, The West Village, SoHo, and Tribeca. You’ll also be able to see the 9/11 Memorial and Freedom Tower before getting one last pass by the Statue of Liberty.
Getting to Linden Airport in NJ:
Linden Airport is easily accessible via NJ Transit's public transportation from Penn Station in midtown Manhattan. Helicopter Flight Services has even arranged the flight departures around NJ Transit's schedule! ( A round-trip train ticket is currently $17 USD, but this is subject to change.)
Arrive at the Linden Municipal Airport at least 30 minutes prior to your reserved time or take the suggested NJ Transit train to Linden Train Station for your shuttle pick up. You must have a government issued identification (i.e. license or passport) with you when you arrive. Please bring your pass with you for scanning.
Children 2 years and older require their own seat and require an adult pass.
There is an additional passenger facility and fuel fee of $15.00 for the heliport. This fee must be paid by the passenger at the heliport. All major credit cards are accepted.
Easy public transportation via NJ Transit from Penn Station in midtown Manhattan to Linden, NJ (Round trip ticket = $17 USD):
Take the Trenton Line (Northeast Corridor) or the Long Branch Line (North Jersey Coast) to Linden Station. The free Helicopter Flight Services shuttle bus will pick you up from Linden Station and bring you to Linden Airport. Free return shuttle service to Linden Station is also provided.
