Take a tour of a ‘global crossroads,’ right in Manhattan, on the SoHo – Little Italy – Chinatown Neighborhood Walking Tour a 2-hour guided tour that explores 3 neighborhoods as culturally varied as they are close in proximity.
See the ritzy shops of SoHo, learn about the secret tunnels of Chinatown, and feast your eyes on the culinary delights of Little Italy, all in the span of your 2-hour tour.
In the affluent neighborhood of SoHo, you’ll get to see beautiful homes in converted factories and brothels that are now beautiful cast iron buildings – you might even see a celebrity or two that call the neighborhood ‘home’ and window shop as you stroll past beautiful shops with museum-worthy window displays.
When you head to Little Italy, you’ll get to take in the sights, sounds, and tastes of authentic Italian culture that lends Little Italy its name. Your guide will show you all the popular spots to get some of the best cannoli while filling you in on some history, including taking you to the very spot where a legendary mafia assassination took place. Last, you’ll head to Chinatown, home to one of the largest concentrations of Chinese expatriates outside of Asia, where you’ll learn about some of the struggles the earliest immigrants faced when coming to the United States and creating a home away from home in New York City. Your guide will tell you all about Chinatown’s secret network of underground tunnels and let you in some lesser-known NYC history with a brief about the violent Tong Wars, a forgotten and dark chapter of NYC history.
On your tour, you’ll see and learn about each neighborhood individually, but you’ll also hear stories and learn about how immigrants of different cultures came together and settled in to these neighborhoods, creating a vibrant culture mix.
Advanced reservations are required.
You will be asked to supply a credit card number to hold the reservation. Your credit card will only be charged if you do not show up for the tour or do not cancel within 48-hours of the tour start time.
