Go on a 3-hour guided walking tour of the Bronx and get to know two of its most famous neighborhoods on the Bronx’s Little Italy & Arthur Ave Neighborhood Tour.
No trip to New York City is complete without a visit to ‘the real Little Italy’ – where some of the best restaurants in all of NYC are concentrated.
Known interchangeably as ‘Arthur Ave,’ ‘Belmont Avenue,’ or ‘the real Little Italy,’ there’s no confusion as to the appeal of this neighborhood: its authentic Italian bakeries, butcher shops, fish markets, variety of boutique specialty shops, and more, all inspired by the cultures and traditions of the Bronx’s generations of immigrant inhabitants (primarily Italian).
Your guide will tell you all about the neighborhood’s history as a popular neighborhood for Irish, Italian, and other immigrants and how its residents shaped the Bronx that we know today as you walk along the same streets that have seen the likes of Robert De Niro, Don DeLillo, Joe DiMaggio, the members of Dion and the Belmonts (named for Belmont Avenue), Lady Gaga, and more.
On the tour, you’ll get to sample optional culinary treats in Little Italy and spend a little time poking around the shops on Arthur Avenue.
