With over 40 captivating exhibits, you’ll gain a whole new appreciation for the animal kingdom through up-close looks at bones, skeletons, and the anatomy of animals from all over the world. Animal skeletons you’ll see include rhinos, giraffes, manatees, kangaroos, panthers, bats, birds, and more—the museum even has real human skeletons on display.
Get a hands-on look at life’s internal structure with the museum’s Touch-me table and interactive videos that compare similarities and differences among skeletons and skulls of modern-day animals. You’ll get to see for yourself what scientists can learn about the existence and habits of obscure species just by studying their bone structures with osteology.
In addition to skeletons, you can see the museum’s ‘hardest working employees,’ their population of flesh-eating beetles (which is how the animal bones are cleaned before going on display), and displays of rare and unusual skeletons like a two-headed calf, a centaur made of horse and human bones, and a space chimp skeleton.
