This is an attraction of titanic proportions, not just because it is themed around the ill-fated ship that has captivated the emotions and imaginations of millions around the world, but also because of its sheer size. Titanic the Artifact Exhibition holds the unusual and unchallenged title of “the greatest Titanic room re-creations in existence”, and draws in hundreds of thousands of visitors per year who come to marvel at the attentively-recreated rooms, suites, boilers and decks. The experience is more than just a simulated ship, however, and highly-trained actors in period costumes mill around the place, indirectly regaling “passengers” with tales of the ship and her crew.
Titanic the Artifact Exhibition is a guided journey lasting approximately one hour, and teaches you about the most famous ship in history. The exhibit showcases an “Underwater Room” which displays an 8-foot replica of the Titanic as she appears on the bottom of the Atlantic today (a sobering sight), as well as over 200 artifacts and historical treasures, including movie memorabilia from the James Cameron Titanic film. Many of the priceless artifacts come from private collections around the world, and some are on display for the very first time. You can also see the costume worn by Leonardo DiCaprio from his role in the blockbuster hit film.
