Go on an underground walking adventure on the Discovery Tour to explore the fascinating natural rock and cavern formations that make up the Natural Bridge Caverns. You’ll get up to 180-feet below ground and travel through a half mile of the largest and most extensive cavern in the San Antonio area.
Your knowledgeable tour guide will provide scientific insight, fun facts, and history dating back to the Cretaceous period, when geologists theorize that a warm, shallow sea covered much of Texas leaving behind all the layers of limestone. Due to various factors, these layers eventually eroded, resulting in all the unique, natural formations you’ll see, including stalagmites, stalactites, flowstones, chandeliers, soda straws, and more.
Be sure to wear comfortable shoes, you’ll need traction on the steep, wet surfaces—and don't forget to bring a camera!
Please note: strollers are not allowed inside the caverns.
