Catalina Whale Watching by Newport Landing
Newport Landing Whale Watching has served the San Diego area for over 30 years providing whale watching and dolphin cruises daily. Year around cruises view many varieties of whales including the giant blue whale (during the summer and fall months), finback whales, grey whales (winter and spring months), minke whales, humpback whales, orcas or killer whales, several types of dolphin, seals, and other marine life. Newport Landing’s Catalina Island Whale Watching cruise departs at 9:00 am and within 10 minutes your adventure begins as whales, dolphin, and sea lions can often be seen outside Newport Bay. Once reaching Catalina Island a 2-hour layover at Two Harbors allows for exploring the Island. The cruise then explores Catalina Island before starting back towards Newport Bay.
