The Museum regularly features major exhibitions of art from around the world, an extensive year-round schedule supporting cultural and educational programs for children and adults, and is home to the May S. Marcy Sculpture Court and Garden as well as the restaurant Panama 66.

Getting In

Present your pass at the admissions counter.

Museum is open til 8:00 pm on Fridays (Go San Diego Card must be redeemed by 5:30 pm)

Driving Directions

From the North: Take I-5 South and exit at Sassafras Street (Airport exit). Take a left on Laurel Street and cross the bridge into Balboa Park. The Museum is on the left hand side of the plaza, where the road dead-ends. From the South: Take I-5 North and exit at 6th Avenue. Take a left on Laurel Street and follow as above. From the East or West: Take 163 South and exit at University Avenue. Making no turns, you will be on 6th Avenue. Turn left on Laurel Street (El Prado) and follow as above.
